Beautiful! Yeah mine's was about $150 Question - Any other right handers wear your watch on the right wrist like I do?

Yeah I wear it on my right wrist as well. Mainly because of a medical condition that is more annoying than anything else if I wear it on my left.

No.  I know some guys that do and I always wonder why.

The Skagens are nice and thin. I find Breitlings extremely garish and ugly.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

To each his own, I suppose.

Personally, I don't like light watches.  I like heavy ones for some reason.  It feels solid to me.

BTW - I've gotten more complements from women wearing my Breitling than any other watch.

I can believe it.  They are very eye catching.  Maybe a bit too much going on for me but I would love to have one. :-D

I'm not a fan of overly big watches either, which is one reason why I'm such a huge Rolex fan. Particularly the pre-2006 40mm professional line with 5-digit reference numbers. The 6-digit models with fat lugs look too blocky to me, and the the new 42mm models are bigger just for the sake of being bigger. The primary reason I just flipped by 16610 and 16570 was because I loved the look of the Sub but preferred the thinner, lighter, and more comfortable Exp-II. The 16710 GMT-II is the best of both IMO.

I guess I'll revive this thread as I've been looking for a new watch lately. I just ordered a vintage Seiko 5 from eBay for next to nothing. That'll be my first automatic watch.

I'm also seriously considering buying this one:

Just pulled the trigger on a new watch. I didn't end up getting the Mercer that I posted above, but found something pretty similar that I like just a bit better.

That is absolutely gorgeous!... so is the Mercer. Am partial to all blacks with silver edge dials.

Here's my latest purchase!!  New watches are waaaay more fun than new golf clubs.

That is some serious hardware.

I have a little collection of watches. Every one of them has story to tell and I do enjoy watches. I hope next year I can start adding a few more watches that really love.

This was my first watch that I really liked. I remember when I went to the stores and saw it, I dreamed of having it. Bought it around whn I was 16.

This was very special, my gift from my mom and sister when I graduated.

Pretty T.. Nice collection!

This one is not bad for every day use.

You are not going to believe this, but I got this one 2 years ago during a visit to Wash DC.. my dad hijacked it when he visited.. :-)

My current  all purpose watch (only one at the moment - spending all my fun money on golf) is a simple all black (rectangular silver edge dial) Citizen Eco drive. My phone not letting me upload the pic at the moment.

The Mercer is nice but I like it with the white dial better, however that one is out of stock for the time being.

I got the new watch today... the guy shipped really quick and it was coming from not that far. I must say that I am very impressed with the watch. It's just a tad heavier than I expected, but it is obvious that the quality of the watch is great. I've never had an automatic watch before and seeing the sweeping motion of the second hand as well as the movement through the exhibition caseback is pretty cool. Collecting nice watches is definitely a hobby I can see myself picking up.

It's not nearly as thin as the Skagen that I had... I would definitely describe it as being on the thicker side, but after wearing it for a couple days, I find it to be comfortable. I have to wear a dress shirt to work and it fits easily under my cuff. Here is a profile pic to show the thickness (and one of the back because I think it's pretty).

I've added quite a few more watches to my collection over the last year.

I bought this one yesterday, should have it on the wrist by the end of the week.

I picked up this Mercer Voyager last month, although I have it on a blue leather strap instead of the rubber one.MD-17701_20160519101621_48c4cef1ef6eaa0d.jpg

Got this one as a gift. I love the low profile, and how simple the face is. I've also got a cheap Casio digital watch around here somewhere.

    • Day 206 (24 Nov 24)  - An easy session with the 54deg wedge and hard foam balls / one simple goal - distance control thru backswing length while not decelerating.  Had a playing partner comment they noticed me decelerating on a couple short wedge shots in last round.  Hit from distances from close to 40yds down to 20.
    • Musgrove Mill hole #15 was converted to a par 3 after Hurricane Helene. Today, I had 145 from the tee which is a perfect 9-iron for me. I aimed just right of the hole and pulled it a few feet. Clanked off the stick down into the hole and ricocheted out of the hole 13’ away. Drained the putt for a birdie after repairing the hole which was damaged . Not sure if it would have counted as a HIO, but I was pretty excited!
    • Day 55 - 2024-11-24 Did five levels of Operation 36 on GSPro (different courses). 🙂 Was -4 from 200 yards (32) intentionally laying up on each hole (i.e. not hitting a 5I or something). Shot… 22, 24, 26 from 25, 50, and 100 yards. I forget my 150-yard score, but obviously it was < 36. Putting was odd… (and I did it with the wedge or a 7I or whatever was in my hand).
