And PGA is a long way down from MLB. I don't watch it all that much.

It's not just my favorite sport it's become my only sport, although the NY football Giants have my interest again...

I used to be a big baseball fan but the sport has bored me of late, and there's only so much time in life.

I enjoy all the tours, but I seem to watch a lot of LPGA for some reason, I think it's the skirts.

One reason I think I like golf so much is that I root for everyone, it's the whole field against the course, no heartbreak like others sports, no yelling, no despair when your team loses a big game, I like that about golf.

It's a toss up for me.  I enjoy watching all sports, especially at the collegiate level.  I voted no because of fantasy football.  I really enjoy watching NFL now and it's probably my favorite...dang that pigskin..

To play, of course, to watch, not even close.  Much rather watch college basketball (especially Kansas) and college football (kills me to watch Kansas but I do) then my home town pro teams (Royals and Chiefs) ahead of golf.  And that being said, prefer other sports over everyday tournaments, the majors, Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup, I'll watch those pretty much from wire to wire.

For me, it's NFL on Sunday only when my team is playing. I can take or leave it the rest of the time.

I've only recently started watching the Golf Channel and checking out some tournaments on tv.

I don't play golf, I play at golf. There's a difference.

2) NFL

3) Golf (PGA and Euro Tours)

4) NBA

5) College Basketball

This is about my order exactly, although I'd probably flip 4 and 5.

More than football? More than baseball?

I'm referring to watching/rooting, etc.

I'm assuming playing golf is probably everybody's favorite sport.

Also...any golf video game fans here?? Haha

Golf is not my favorite spectator sport, not by a long shot.  As time goes on, I watch less and less golf.  I play golf as often as I can, but only watch when there is literally nothing much else to do, unless it's a major, or the Ryder Cup or the like.

I play Links 2003 (mod 1.07) on the computer occasionally, usually in winter when I can't play real golf.  I don't play any of the EA offerings (like Tiger Woods) because I think they suck, at least as they are ported for the PC they do.  Maybe they are better on a game console, but I don't own one, so that's irrelevant.

Golf is my favorite sport. I follow football a bit and watch large tournaments, but not as much as golf. I don't watch as many golf tournaments as before. Mostly majors and other large ones these days.

Oh and I do follow Esports more than any sport.

Electronic sports (or esports) is a term for organized video game competitions, especially between professionals. The most common video game genres associated with electronic sports are real-time strategy, fighting, first-person shooter, andmultiplayer online battle arena. Tournaments such as the World Cyber Games, the Evolution Championship Series, and the Intel Extreme Masters provide both live broadcasts of the competition, and cash prizes to competitors.

I voted yes. Falls behind Olympics (both winter and summer versions) but obviously not a regular threat.

BTW, appreciate you calling it a sport. I had a friendly argument (who hasn't?) about this with a someone last year. I had to get a full read on the thread here on TST about this subject to get some ammo.

    • Day 4 (24 Jun 26) - Played the mid-week shootout - iffy day on putts as I had 35 and of late been in the upper 20's.   Greens recently verti-cut and they are a bit bump and long haired - no excuses as I need to learn to trust making the proper adjustments.   Overall a decent day with some solid long game shots.

    • Thank you.  I'll cross it off the list since it isn't going to achieve what I want.
    • While it does turn out that both Tiger and Phil are less squeaky clean than I previously believed, I don't think golf quite has the worst in professional sports.  Or maybe they're better at image management.   Obviously I'm not fond of Phil's issue we're discussing in this thread (or his involvement with LIV) or Tiger's choices of how to drive.  I used to really like Dustin Johnson and, even before the LIV situation, we started to hear rumors that he bought more snow than Seward, although I don't think those stories were ever substantiated.  Meanwhile, I did think of Anthony Kim as the "good, bad boy" of the tour for a while fifteen years ago because of his party persona -- and if it turns out the worst he did was show up hung over to play (barring what one thinks of LIV), that's pretty good.  And I'm still happy he found a way to get his life clean. If we contrast that with some other sports I enjoy, I'm sure we could find a nice long list of NFL players that, at one point in my life, I was quite fond of, we get far worse disappointments (to put it mildly).
    • Answering that properly would land me in hot water, so I'm not going to. I don't think that many people would do that. I think that in certain circumstances many people would be willing to overlook someone doing that. But I was really referring to what I assumed was Tiger's transgressions (cheating on his wife) not Phil's.
