Hey all, just signed up for evolvr and just submitted my first swing.  Kinda wish I would have waited till the beginning of the month (just easier for me to remember) but do the 4 videos a month run on calendar basis? I don't presume they do but thought i would ask.

second question is for those that have been with the program a while and seen some serious results...has sending 4 videos a month been an issue for you? or is it after a while not really necessary to send in four videos a month?

as a side note what really calls my attention to evolvr as supposed to the 4 lesson packages that I have done in the past is I don't mind sending in a video lesson (like Ive just done) and then using a second video lesson to see if what I have been taught or practiced through the provided or recommended drills if I am implementing it correctly.

I know in theory and with the 4 package lesson instructors I have worked with before they told me they dont mind me sending in a video to their email to see if what I am working on from their instruction if I am translating correctly but it does not seem like I am being fair to them in doing so, and have not kept up with that practice.

Thanks all and looking forward to the improvement!

I have never sent 4 videos in a month. Unless you have basically an unlimited amount of time to work on the drills they give you you won't need more then 4 videos. I usually send in 1 or 2 a month. I've been basically working on the same thing for months.

1-2 submissions per month is usually best. Sometimes a golfer will submit a "quickie" of "am I doing this drill right?" for a third. If you're submitting four, you're not working on much between submissions.

also along those lines id be thinking it would be about 2 lessons a month with 2 video follow ups to make sure im doing it correct? I understand it may not be like that every month but if its a service that is being provided I would think this is the best way to optomize my investment and try to imrpvoe

Don't worry about the number of videos you submit. Your not going to get more out of your investment by submitting more videos. Your going to get the most out of evolvr if you practice what you receive in your analysis until you think you get it down (which isn't going to happen in a week). Then send in a video of what you think is an improvement. Then they will either tell you a new piece to work on or modify what your currently working on. I've been working on the same part of my swing for 3 months. My drills have changed but I'm still working on my downswing into impact. I sent one video in January and that was enough.

Monthly from when you sign up I believe.

I upload about once a month, I dint really worry about uploading at least once a month. I upload when I feel I've made enough progress, I try to practice the drill about 3 hours a week. Usually I don't use a ball and practice at night while watching tv, in front of a mirror. I think the most I've uploaded in a month is twice, when I first started and when I wanted to get some clarification on what I should be feeling or doing.

Thanks all for the feedback. I have a different mindset of how i want to work the program since im on the course weekly and on the range once a week as well as practicing from my home. If it doesnt work out for either party I guess we can always communicate that. Thanks again and am looking forward to serious and progressive results

Have a good time your going to be getting very good instruction through evolvr. What your describing is no different from what I do weekly and like I said before I doubt you will improve enough in one week to submit a new video every week.

If you are regularly submitting four videos per month, you're not really using the service properly. It's basically that simple.

Been thinking about starting evolvr this season. Can you upload a putting stroke, bunker shot, etc? Or full swing only?

If im doing two lessons a momth with two follow up videos to make sure im working on those points correctly if that is not correct or not wanted let me know now so i can request not to move forward

Are you more interested in submitting the maximum number of videos or improving at the fastest rate? If it's the latter, then listen to the advice given. If you're at the range once a week then a video every three or four weeks is more than enough. Good luck.

It also depends on your level as well.. As the issues that need fixing become smaller the time to change is longer.. I have been working on the same main issue for ever now.. Last month I only submitted 2 vids and this month I will most likely submit one or two. When I first started I was doing 3 or 4 but that's because I was fixing grip and posture things that were relatively easy to fix, not so much now. You can try it for a few months and of you like it continue, if not you still have the rest of the year to find something else.

Trust me that even if you only send in 2 a month your getting way more than your money's worth. You can also post stuff on here in you swing thread in between videos. It takes a few days to get your response from evolvr. So if you just want a quick check up you can ask here.

I believe the answer to this is yes on the other types of shots.  But I imagine they would like to have you work on one thing at a time.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
