What if Iron Byron or some other Golf Robot hit all your long shots?

Here's a thought that crossed my mind.

What if you made one of the Golf Robots portable and mobile to the extend that it could navigate all your favorite golf courses?

Next, can you imagine what kind of scores you can rack up if all you had to do was to setup a machine to make your shots over 100 yards?

Is this even better than getting a PGA pro to make all your longer shots?

I'm not sure why this is in the rules forum, other than the fact that it breaches Rule 14-2a in a major fashion.  Maybe it should be in the general discussion forum?

You know you can just report the post and add a comment about moving it. Or PM a moderator. Then your comment doesn't exist in perpetuity in the thread. :)

Uh, yeah… If the configuration was easy to set up and everything, of course.

No doubt the machine would do a lot better, no surprise there. But what fun would it be? I play golf in order to test my own abilities, not those of some machine.

@Lihu is biased towards robots ;-) I don't get it, either. Might as well go play pitch & putt.

Obviously I would score better...................It wouldn't count, but it would be really close to par. Sounds like I gave this same, or similar  answer on here before?????

It wouldn't be fun.   I'd rather hit my imperfect shots than watching robots or Tiger Wood for that matter hit shots for me. ;-)

But sometimes, I like to fantasize about downloading Rory's game to my brain a la what they do in Matrix movies.   That'd be an interesting to question to ask the forum members.  If you live in Matrix and have access to the programs, which golfer's game would you download?
