Yeah, I think Bubbas group is on now or soon. I'll put it on my phone once we hit a stronger cell signal zone.

I'm sitting in class and I have my laptop with me. I am super excited for the coverage to start at 945.

Haha, that was me with my MLB.tv package in college many moons ago. It's a bummer Tiger and Phil are featured on days they're going to be on TV. I wish they switched them so I could see them play both days. As it stands, we just get an extra hour of them.

I can't find it on any of my TV listings. I'm hoping it's covered by CBS or ESPN because I don't get the golf channel.

I apologize for having a spam URL in my signature and will not do it again.

They don't show the groups until the back 9.  You will see coverage start when players enter Amen Corner.

Yeah, I saw that now. They said the 9:26 group was going to be featured and, silly me, I thought that meant they'd start airing that at 9:26 instead of noon. This is why the Masters is, at best, the 3rd best major for me. I can watch the British from 5a to 3p every day and the U.S. Open for a good 8 hours a day too. Grrrr.

They apparently have it at the Masters this year.  Track is available on masters.com and the iPad.  It is sweet and superior to the regular pgatour.com site.

Awesome, thanks!

Mike Weir +4 after 6 holes, ish.

In other lefty news, it looks like Bubba birdies his first par 5 of the Masters.

I'm watching the Amen Corner feed now. The darn closed captioning won't go away. Anyone else having that problem?

Mike Weir has made one cut this season ;-( In other news, if Ben Crenshaw wins this years Masters, I will be a very rich man.

Yeah, this annoys me, too. I guess August just doesn't need the money so they don't broadcast everything. It would be really nice to see everything.

Amen corner feed is fine for me. That's my favorite part of the golf course, so I'll live with it.

Anyone else have a choppy feed, like it's buffering? Our internet is 20 mbps download (just tested), which is way more than enough to stream this.

edit: They're using flash player for some absurd reason. So, that's probably contributing to it.

I love the 12th hole so much.

And no, I never had CC to begin with.

Hole #13 is my favorite hole on the course.

The announcer said if you lay back to 80 yards the player would get 8 feet at worst from the pin. He was talking about either going for it and missing it long on hole #13 versus laying up short. One of the guys went back left and the chip on ran to about 20 feet because that green is so severe near the back of the green.

On pure stats, PGA Tour average is 17'3" from 75-100 yards. He's a bit off, more like 200% off.

    • Great to hear!  Im trying (slowly) to get back out there and this community has been very helpful - FORE
    • Lessons.   I asked Erik this once and he said a good player could shoot a good score with less-than-adequate clubs.
    • So I have a son-in-law that I really like, and he plays.  Not great, averages 100-110 on a normal course.  For his birthday I got him a series of 5 lessons (he's never had lessons before) from a well-regarded local pro.  He hasn't started them yet.  For Christmas I am getting him a fitting and clubs from a local clubmaker with credentials and equipment out the wazoo:   And following the fitting I will be having the clubmaker make him 13 clubs (he already has a putter he really likes and putting is one of the better parts of his game).  I'll let the clubmaker and him work out how many 'woods', how many and which hybrids, how many and which irons, and how many and which wedges.  Other than paying I don't want to inject myself into the process. So my question for the board is which should happen first, the fitting/building of the clubs or the lessons?  I can see arguments on both sides and I just thought this would be a good place from which to get some input.  Thoughts?
    • Day 2: 12/11/2024 Today I spent another half hour or so in front of the mirror working on my PPJ. I still feel like an orangutan performing brain surgery with a hack saw. It's a big departure from the way I had been timing my moves in the past.  Here's a quick video of my practicing.
