Really? I think I paid $80 for my True Tours, last years model I believe, at Golf Town. Much cheaper than anything else they had in stock.

I rarely pay more than 50 for any shoe, let alone a specialty shoe for a sport. The shoes I have are plenty comfortable and do their job great. I haven't had to replace the spikes on them at all in the 3 years I've had them. Got them on sale for $40.

KICK THE FLIP!!

Fair enough. $40 is a great deal, what are they?

Thanks. I'm a bargain shopper so if I ever hear/see some trulinks for a price around 50-60 in my size in a style I like I'd probably give them a shot. But it wouldn't be until these shoes are worn out. Just can't see having more than one pair of golf shoes haha.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I tried to get some shoes from them one time that were on sale but weren't in my size if I remember right. Either way I'll keep an eye out.

Yup ... Got my Gents for $50 thanks to an email like that. Doesn't really matter though to me ... Comfort far, FAR outweighs price in the importance department when it comes to shoes, anyway.

I can understand that, but I never buy shoes that aren't comfortable regardless of price anyway. Just because the shoes are cheap doesn't mean that I'll buy them. Plus, the shoes I bought are holding up fantastic so that's a bonus.

And trust the website when they warn you that the gents run 1/2 size small. Mine are a smidge tight even though they're the same size as my roomy protos and senseis

No apparent relationship between price and comfort in shoes, i have found. Too many variables in shoe construction and my feet. Almost always gotta try em, and even then i sometimes lose.

Zero,  have never even tried them on before.  I loved the fit of my adidas sneakers, so recently went with them on golf shoes and have not been disappointed.  I'm not for the "classic" golf shoe look.  But noticed true links did have some decent looking, more sneaker type shoes.  May have to try some next go round.

None. IMHO they are all ugly. Apparently the styles do not appeal to me. I have said it before, the toe area of the shoe looks "clownish". Maybe that's why they are so comfortable to wear, idk.

Not sure you've looked much lately.

The first shoe looks like a a ladies shoe? I still stand by my statement that they are ugly to me . To each his own. The brand carries a continued style that doesn't appeal to me. I guess if got a pair and the function overrides the appearance... I am not a hater, I have shopped them but just not a fan.

If you mean the black and white one, then I agree - that one is pretty goofy looking. They certainly have some different styles, some good, some not so much, but you're right - to each his own. :)

I can't pin point specifically what it is but it has something to do with the toe area of the shoes.

    • Day 3:  I tried to hit a bucket at the range but an 80 year old man (he told me his age, showed me his knee replacement scars, told me all about his chronic low back pain, etc) couldn’t pass up the opportunity to mansplain to me every little thing I’m doing wrong.  Dude, it’s my third frickin day.  I know I need to twist my hips more, I know I need to keep my head/chest down and not pop up, I know I need to hit through the ball and follow through further, yada yada yada.  I know.  That’s exactly what I’m trying to work on.  How about you tell me or show me how to do those things instead of telling me to watch Iron Byron videos?  Rough day.
    • Day 132: 5/7/24 Full Speed Spectrum Training session 8/24. 7th training program overall.    Another slow session but 4 mph faster than my last session, which was my slowest ever. Going to the doctor on Friday to check on pulled neck muscle.
    • Day 26: Did full swing practice after work. First 15 balls were working on top of the backswing feel, and then tried to incorporate transition feel into the next 15 balls. A's, although this will be my last season of being a fan as they leave for Las Vegas (by way of Sacramento for a few seasons). Hard to see myself rooting for the Giants, but if that's the only MLB in the Bay Area, I guess I might get on board.
    • My two cents? Don't. As a beginner that's interested in learning about the golf swing, you'll find yourself consuming a lot of information, most of which isn't even relevant to your own swing. You need to learn you can't think your way to a good golf swing. Focus on the one thing that you're working on and doing that on every swing, come what may. And remember, mishits happen.
    • Day 6 (7 May 24) - More work in the backyard focused on tempo in addition to setup.  Worked with 6 and 7 irons hitting hard foam balls - used the old MacGregor irons to mix it up a little.
