are you a member of a golf course? what's the name? I lived in Germany for a lot of years and played in Heidelberg, Wiesbaden, Kitzingen (near Wurzburg), Miltenberg (Baden Wurtemburg) all throughout southern Germany south of Munich, and the Nurnberg area as well.......

Germans do have nice golf courses - but it very expensive (teuer) to play.  It is a game for wealthy people - I was lucky since I was military I could play American courses or I was lucky that the Germans would offer me less expensive memberships. Sometimes I paid 1/3 what regular members paid for my membership.

You must be happy about the success of Langer, Kaymer, Siem.

Yes, welcome to the site.. I just missed my connecting flight in Germany and look like I will be spending the night.. What's the one thing you recommend I do tonight with the wife and 3 kids? I'll be staying in Frankfort.

Hey Rick,

Sounds like we played some of the same courses.. I was stationed in Graf/Vilseck/Hohenfels for14 years.. got to play all the great courses before the majority of them went away.. I left Europe in 04. came back in 2010.. wow lots of changes...

Gutern Tag,

Ich habes onemal ein Golffeld in BW spielte. It called Bad Waldsee und ich findet sie ein sehr gutern feld zu spielten.

OK enough german, exhausted, I think the course was called Oberschwaben and I don't think I have played a better member course, anywhere. The greenfee was 45 Euro for 18 holes and lunch cost 25 Euro with a couple of beers. No too expensive in my opinion.

Actually i am angered by Martin Kaymer.

HE was world number 1 and startet complaining about having to play golf every day.

    • Day 121: did a bit of mirror work with my driver. Working on shortening the backswing.
    • Day 305 - Grip and backswing work. Full swings were bothering the hip a bit.
    • Day 56 - 2024-11-15 Light day. Lots of catch-up work. Checked the grip to make sure I wasn't compensating there, and did a little backswing work.
    • Day 197 (15 Nov 24) - Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management.  Solid round of 83 (41/42) - 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.
    • Have been on a mid to low 80’s roll of late - today was no different with an 83 (41 front / 42 back).   Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management, delivering 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.  Local course starting to get that winter feel - wet areas wetter, thin grass thinner, greens  trickier.
