Hit the Ping G30 3 wood yesterday.

Yes please! I was at PGA superstore and took some swings with the 3 wood. I couldn't believe how straight and easy to hit it was.

After I bought my G30 driver, there was a Ping demo day on at a course I was visiting.  I tried the 3w and the hybrids and really liked them. I recently had to replace my clubs and went with another G30 driver plus their 3w and a 3h. Really like them.

Ping really nailed this one with the G30 line. While I am still on the G25 for both driver and 3 wood, I have played the G30's that my friend has and have been very impressed. Only real difference between the 25 and 30 was a little lower ball flight on the 30. Either way Ping is really killing it with their long clubs latley.

Agreed... I didn't figure I'd find something I liked better than my G15, but to echo everyone else, Ping did a great job with the G30 woods and I'm a believer after having the driver for about 2 months now

The G30 3 wood is in the bag.  I loved this one since I first tried it at a demo day.  But it has created a new problem...  It got me thinking that " I like this 3 wood so much that maybe I should go pick up the driver".  I love the look of the mat black finish and the turbolators framing the ball.  I wasn't planning on driver replacement this year or becoming a club ho.  It looks like I might be turning into one though.

I wish I had all of your experiences with the G30. I have the SFT model with the tour 69 shaft. It's not a disaster, but I also have the Ping G20, 25 and a Titleist 913D2. By far the Titliest is the best for me. Funny thing is my miss with all of these is a hook except for the G30 which is an enormous banana slice. SFT? I don't see it.

I had really high expectations when the G30 came out.  Do not get me wrong, its a great product and anyone who hits them well will be greatly pleased.  However, I just could not get over the "Turbulators" on the heads and just could not get a good feel with the clubs as they just felt oversized and hollow when I hit the ball.  I did have my fastest swing speeds with them, but I could not control the ball to save my life.  Personally think the G25 is a much better club for me.

I fell in love with the Titleist 915.  Classic look at address and just an extremely impressive club that I can work the ball anyway I want.  Paid more than I thought I would, but this is a club i am going to be using for a awhile.

Just shows how different peoples' experiences are.  I have the G30 SFT and I have to really put a bad swing on it to make it slice.  My default shot shape is either straight or a baby fade, and when I really go after one and swing out of my shoes, I usually end up hitting a hook (used to be a big slice).  My previous driver was the K15 SFTec and the G30 is even straighter than the K15 was.

I haven't tried the G30 woods or hybrids yet, I'm almost afraid to.  I really like the K15 FWs and hybrids, and I'm afraid that if I hit the G30s I'll suddenly be looking at another substantial club investment.

First round with my G30 SF my golf buddies could not believe how much my driving improved.  Finally I was in the fairways more than I was in the trees.
