First, I'd just like to thank @Spotless Swing for giving me the opportunity to review their product.

I received one towel in red with black trim to match my bag. It's sewn like a headcover so that there is an outside and an inside to it. The outside is designed for cleaning your face and hands while the inside is meant for cleaning your clubs. The idea is that the inside traps the dirt and grass, allowing you to clean your hands and face without getting dirt everywhere.

The majority of the towel is made out of microfiber, but there is a piece on the inside that is similar to the hook side of hook and loop fabric (Velcro) that's designed to clean the grooves of your clubs. The Spotless Swing Towel comes with a carabiner and two grommets, one on top of the towel and one on the bottom corner. You are meant to attach it to your bag from the top in a cart or from the bottom if you are walking. I can only assume this is to keep the dirt from falling all over you as you walk, but I'm just speculating. I use it right-side-up on my pull cart.

As for the performance, it definitely cleans your hands and absorbs moisture well. I like that it is a short towel because it doesn't hit the wheel of my cart as I am walking. The downside to that is that it made it harder to use on my face, as I had to either detach it every time or bend down pretty low to use it. This is a bit of a negative to me because I sweat more on my face than my hands.

I've also learned that the hook fabric does not clean the grooves as well as I'd like. It does a pretty good job of cleaning the club after your shot, but I can get obsessive about cleaning my grooves, so I still prefer to carry a wet towel or a brush (I usually carry both) to do the job. Once I brush the dirt and debris loose, the Spotless Swing Towel does a great job of cleaning it off the club and keeping it trapped on the inside of the towel. This is good for me because I have a tendency to forget what side of my golf towel I used for my clubs and what side for my face and I always end up getting dirt all over everything.

Overall, I think it is a good product at a good price. It's not going to replace all of my cleaning tools, but it's definitely better than carrying a soaking wet bath towel.

EEK, I don't use a golf towel on my face. Too much dirt and fertilizer from the course and clubs.

The velcro does a good job of cleaning the club but moisten the towel with water during the round. I don't expect the velcro to get most dirt between grooves - not designed for that -- I carry a D Brush in my pocket (it is very small so I buy a 4 pack of them) to get most of the dirt in grooves.

Agree. Great golf towel...

Well when I sweat, that's where I sweat, so I need a towel I can use for my face. I could just carry an extra towel, but I was kind of hoping the Spotless Swing Towel could be a 2-in-1 kind of deal.

I didn't think to wet the towel because I always carry around an extra bar towel with me that I soak. I could play around with soaking part of the Spotless Swing Towel and forgoing the extra bar towel altogether.

I have a brush with a carabiner attached to it that clips on my bag as well. Definitely still need the brush.

Great golf towel.

Absolutely. My original setup is a large golf towel, small bar towel, and brush. If I can get the Spotless Swing Towel to work by soaking a small part of it, it will replace both towels. Huge plus.

@billchao

I use the towel with the open side facing up, wet the insides, and have found the outside is still relatively dry.

I wanted a lighter towel that was not too big, and could save some weight while performing several functions - it does that for me.

    • I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.

    • Honestly, unless there's something about that rough there that makes it abnormally penal or a lost ball likely, this might be the play. I don't know how the mystrategy cone works, but per LSW, you don't use every shot for your shot zones. In that scatter plot, you have no balls in the bunker, and 1 in the penalty area. The median outcome seems to be a 50 yard pitch. Even if you aren't great from 50 yards, you're better off there than in a fairway bunker or the penalty area on the right of the fairway. It could also be a strategy you keep in your back pocket if you need to make up ground. Maybe this is a higher average score with driver, but better chance at a birdie. Maybe you are hitting your driver well and feel comfortable with letting one rip.  I get not wanting to wait and not wanting to endanger people on the tee, but in a tournament, I think I value playing for score more than waiting. I don't value that over hurting people, but you can always yell fore 😆 Only thing I would say is I'm not sure whether that cone is the best representation of the strategy (see my comment above about LSW's shot zones). To me, it looks like a 4 iron where you're aiming closer to the bunker might be the play. You have a lot of shots out to the right and only a few to the left. Obviously, I don't know where you are aiming (and this is a limitation of MyStrategy), but it seems like most of your 4 iron shots are right. You have 2 in the bunker but aiming a bit closer to the bunker won't bring more of your shots into the bunker. It does bring a few away from the penalty area on the right.  This could also depend on how severe the penalties are for missing the green. Do you need to be closer to avoid issues around the green?  It's not a bad strategy to hit 6 iron off the tee, be in the fairway, and have 150ish in. I'm probably overthinking this.
