Shot a 82 thursday, par 71 at 6033 yrds. Had one bad chip and putted ok. First full round this year, temp in the mid 60's. ground still soggy and the greens were rough to putt. Got away with a couple loose drives so I could advace the ball toward the green. Overall I feel I hit the ball well so I'm happy. The courses here in Michigan are just getting open so they will be in better shape in a couple of weeks if the weather stays nice. weather today low 50's with rain, oh well.

Such a nice day, It was in the 70's too bad the wind was like +30mph. Well I got to a good start, 7 straight pars. Than I double bogeyed the 8th. I can believe it, my drive had a tail wind and i just launched it, it went about 330 straight through the fairway in to the hazard. I felt bad cuz I thought I was going to start a new relationship with this ball(lol). Then I decided to tee it up again, same thing, but i hit like a draw with my fairway wood. It balooned in the air with a tail wind and it went through the left side of the fairway. So now I dropped because the dropping zone was a lot better. I hit it on the greeen 4 feet from the hole, and barely made the put. Then on whole nine, I thought I hit it ob but noone was on the course so I decided to look for it. Pleasantly it bounced off a stake and was in. Then I hit it into the greenside bunker and got an up and down for a birdie. Then I bogeyed the next 4 holes, it was hell, but putts were impossible, i think i had 6 3 puts or something. I was goign to shoot my self because of putting. Well that was my round today, really a decent round.

Didn't play well today. Didn't really keep score, either. Hit some good shots, hit some shots I'm also unlikely to hit more than three times per year (for example, hit a nice 3W BACKWARDS by topping it badly).

Every spring, I throw Rotella out the window and work on my swing during the round, because that sets me up for the rest of the year. But it doesn't mean I score very well in the meantime...

Bill,

That's wild. I'm sure we've crossed paths before. We play under the name Thompson. We usually get the last time off the back every Sunday. I look forward to meeting you.

Shot 74 today with a 9! How can you be going along playing great then have a blow up hole where you act like you've never played before. I was 1 under going into the 5th hole, hit my drive out of bounds, my second tee shot way right, then hit a tree, then bladed my chip over the green, then three putted. After that I preceded to birdie the next 2 holes. I'll never figure this game out. It's holes like that that keep me at a 3 handicap.

i shot an 84 today. i was pretty mad. the all together score isnt that bad for me, but it was real dissapointing because going into the 17 hole i was 4 over(par 34 back nine). all i needed to do was par the next two holes and id have an 81. well, that did not go so well. on the 17th, i hit a crappy drive. then a good 3 wood. i was shooting a sand wedge for birdie. and completely chunked it. not good. chipped on for par, two putted, and double bogeyed. this was a huge shock after playin the last couple holes par, par, bogey, par, par. on the final hole i was hoping for a turnaround. not gonna happen. it was a par 3 with an island green. i hadnt played this hole before so i didnt know what to hit. i hit a club short and SPLASH!. i dropped and chipped on for par..then two putted...double bogey...not happy. very sad ending to a good beginning. hopefully tommoroow will be better )

Math doesn't work there: two pars gets you 81 but two doubles gets you 84? 84 - 81 = 4? I'll assume you meant an 80, then.

Dang, today was so freaking hard. I shot a 79. Score was good but the driver was like limp. I hit the ball like 23- today and it killed. The wind is strong. I think I had like 20 head wind shots today. So hard. Also I hit in to a pond 3 times on this par 5 and I got a 10. A 10, I'm already reaching double digits. Disgusting. I holed out for an eagle on the 16th hole though, that was nice. Today was an okay round, if not fot the 10, I think I could've broke 70. Whatever though, the clubs, 690.cb are so nice. They feel so good. I went to the range after and at the top of my swing my club is pointing left of the target, anyone no a quick fix for that.

Yeah, point the club a the target.

It's "know," too.

I meant at the top of your backswing.

So did I. Now back to the topic of "what'd you shoot today?"

Especially to do so by such a large margin.
