What'd You Shoot Today?

Recommended Posts

just shot a 110. great off the tee, just missing with my approach, i could not chip or put to save my life. i think i was also in about 6 bunkers. the guy i played with, who shot a 75, said he though the greens were around a 10 stimp. i have no clue what stimp they were but man were they fast.

I shot a 37 today, I hit the ball very well. It's the first time I've played my home course since coming back from a golfing vacation. So I'm pleased

i was two over through 16 holes when i barely beat a severe thunderstorm (or so the news says) to my car. craziness. thats one thing about summer i hate. those retarded afternoon thunderstorms. is there anywhere where those dont occur cuz i want to live somewhere like that, cuz where i live we get them at least every other day.

very "solid" 79. Why so high you might ask? Oh well - 3 bad swings the whole round, each of them resulting in double-bogeys (driver, 3W (tee shots) and 9i (pulled into crap).
Birdie putts weren't falling in today (sweaty palms in 93 humid deg ), other than 3 doubles - 4 bogey's and 2 birds...

i'd rather not even say my score, but it involved losing a ball on every hole. I was pretty much very far off my game.

I'm terrible, but i have fun.

Shot 5 over at my home course. So far that is my best round since joining there June a year ago. The club pro knew there were only 2 of us going out together, so he asked if a single could join us. Turns out he was a 4 handicap from one of our sister courses across the state.

I birdied #3 which is a nasty par 4 with a narrow little corridor for your tee shot by hitting a drive just a hair under 300 (my best drive ever on this hole) and putting a 60* wedge in to about 3 ft. The next hole is a very short par 5 with a very narrow approach guarded by a pond that extends across 2/3rd of the green from left to right. I put a 3 iron out to a bout 190 and hit a 5 iron uphill to about 10ft. I ran the putt in for eagle. So, after 4, I am 3 under. I got a couple more birdies on the back, but carded a double bogie and enough bogies to get back to 5 over for the round.

I played my first round in a month or or two this past Saturday. The short game suffered from the time off. I was really shaky from 25 yards and in.

I hit the R7 Draw driver for the first time, and I absolutely crushed the ball 90% of the time. I know the driver isn't used much, but my score would have been awful if I wasn't driving it so nicely.

I shot a 47 on the front nine, and it looked like things were headed downhill for me. Then, I did something I've never done before. I shot a 35 on the back nine, which was even par. I birdied three out of four holes at one point. I was -1 for the nine going into the par-5 18th hole. I was hole high on the left fringe after two shots. I hit a crappy chip and three-putted for bogey. I was pretty upset because I could have shot my first under-par nine of my career. Nonetheless, I shot my first even-par nine of my career, so it was still good.

All in all, I shot an 82 for the first 18.

I played the front nine again and shot a 43, including a birdie at the ninth. I wish I could have counted my last two nines (78) instead of my first two nines (82). Either way, I was happy with my first round back.

nice shooting Cody. I found too, that sometimes a week or two off actually improves my game for a while. Let's see what you do next weekend

What you can do is post the 18-hole and the 9-hole score in the handicap computer. Or, perhaps, three 9-hole scores (though I think that's frowned upon). But at least you'd see your "36" in there.

I goofed around for nine holes, then I played a four-ball scramble with a 15-handicapper. We each got two shots. We used about two or three of his over nine holes and shot 33, including two lipped out putts I thought I'd made. I hit the ball pretty well, and my "just concentrate, stupid" stuff seems to have stuck, at least for awhile. It's 95 here Tue/Wed, and our member-guest is Thur-Sun (I'm not in it), so I may not be playing for awhile.

i played at koolau golf club yesterday and didnt fare too well.

42 on the front, 41 on the back. i like to use the excuse that koolau is considered the toughest course in the world, but i'm sure there are harder ones out there.

Played the home course and didn't have a good one. 12 over... Managed to find 7 greenside bunkers in 12 holes. My irons just deserted me in today's high winds. I am distressed....

I played a round Sunday with a regular golf buddy. I shot an awful 48 on the front nine, which included three triple bogies. I had bad swing thoughts in my head on those three holes. By the turn, I had settled down and shot a 4 over 40 on the back nine, equalling my best score on those nine holes. I came within 12 inches of making eagle on the par 5 15th hole. I was thrilled to end the round as Dr. Jekell, rather than the Mr. Hyde who showed up on the front nine. Oh, for a little more consistency.

Played a quick 9 yesterday and shot 37 with 2 birdies. I bogeyed both the par 3's and one of the par 4's. Bleh.

shot an 84(40/44) in my tourney today....boy was it hot. I dont really like the course we played on, too many blind shots and it was a pain in the but to find balls. My group probably spent half our time looking for balls cuz the rough was high and you simply couldnt see where your ball went most of the time.

I shot 79 (39/40). None of my putts would fall. I was close, I was concentrating... it was just one of those days. I did make some incredible up-and-downs (I didn't hit a green on the back until the 15th...) to win 2.5/4 of the points in my men's league.

Am relatively pleased with how I hit the ball. Eh.

BTW, Scorecard is officially out now for the Mac users in the audience.

i shot a 96 today....needless to say as number one seed on my hs team we got killed

and for the record i want to say that i hate pete dye and that he seriously screwed up designing the course i played today.

and on an interesting side note i drank 4 liters of water while playing today...it was probably like 100 degrees here in Va, just crazy if you ask me.
