Played the second most difficult course I have ever played. Played the tips and shot a dissappointing 86. I had 41 on the front and finished with 3 bogeys and a triple. It could have been in the 70's. still enjoyed it.

I shot a 98 today (I know terrible).
The greenskeepers put those small holes in the greens which made the ball bite and bobble way more than usual

99/94 playing a course near some family in Scotland. Wind was insane. I hit a 260 yard 4 hybrid from one tee (!) and 140 on the next hole, which was antiparallel. Absolutely crazy wind.

I really drilled in the notion of improving my short game. I had about five birdie opportunities, from working on my swing, but missed all of them.

On the second day, I reached a 480y par 5 in 2 with 4h/4h.

(The 4h is my driver currently, as I've been scalded for wanting anything longer until my swing gets better. It's working out )

73: bogey on 17 and missed the 10 ft birdie putt on 18. Sigh... oh well. Had three birdies AND we got a new cart girl who is smokin' , yeeeehaawww!!!

Played the front 9 at Alvamar from the tips between rains.

I shot 41.

1. Par (my drive hit a tree left and kicked out into the front of the fairway - leaving me 240 out. I hit 4 wood to the collar. Up and down.)

2. Par (drive straight but through the fairway, hybrid to inside 100, pitch, 2 putt.)

3. Par (drive faded into right rough but only 130 out, pw to the middle, 2 putt)

4. Bogie (hybrid long, chip on, 2 putt)

5. Quadruple bogie ... (drive into right trees, hybrid into tree, 5 iron into tree, 5 iron long and left of green in vines/trees, punch out short, chip on, 2 putt)

6. Par (drive into fairway, pw to back fringe, putter from fringe, 1 putt)

7. Par (hybrid 5 yards short/left, up and down)

8. Par (drive into fairway, 4 wood to collar, chip, 2 putt)

9. Par (Drive to just short of right fw bunker, 9 iron yanked left between greenside bunkers, 60˚ to 10 feet, 1 putt)

just got a new putter and had issues on the front. Missed an easy birdie on #3. Then I got used to having a putter with some good weight on it and I really cleaned up the back. Hit my driver straight FINALLY and only missed 3 fairways but couldnt hit my mid irons to save my life which really hurt me.

Chipping and putting was good though, I'm hoping to break into the 80s tomorrow!

RUSS's avg drive - 230yrds and climbing

It rained here all day - steady, but not pouring, just a constant light rain shower. I played 9 anyway. The pin had been lifted out of the hole from the wind and rain on three of the nine holes.

I had a blast. No one else was playing. Only one employee was there. Made 7 pars, a bogie and a birdie. edit:
ha nice, sounds fun!

51 for 9 holes. Coulda woulda shoulda been about a 45. Driving continues to be excellent. Only hit 50% of fairways, but the misses were all near misses. Got off to a decent start, then my tee shot on a par 3 landed in the sand. First sand shot hit timid and stayed in the bunker. Then from the uphill lie caught the ball perfectly clean (oops) and sailed it over the green and over a fence into the tree nursery next door. Dropped and finally blasted out onto the green. Fortunately I one-putted from about 15 feet to save triple bogey...

After that, continued having generally good drives, but my iron shots were total crap. Frustrating to drive to within 100 yards of the green and just squeeze out a bogey or worse...
