I just bought a new Ogio cart bag and I love it. I had another Ogio bag before this one and loved it as well. My biggest concern is the Zipperless Ball Pocket. My concern is if it is going to stay closed when riding around on a cart and hitting bumps or what not while driving and it springing open and you lose some of your balls (insert joke here lol) out of the spring loaded pocket. Does anyone have one of the Ogio bags with the ZBP long enough to give me some feedback on how well it works. Thanks

I have 2 buddies who have similar bags.  Don't know that either of them have ever had a problem losing balls once the bag is on a cart.  I can tell you that both of them have chased balls all over the parking lot taking the bag out of their car/truck.

Thanks for the response Rick. Kinda interesting that they chased their balls from taking the bag out of the car. Anyway, thanks and hopefully there are others that can give me some feedback. thanks

I have about 100 rounds with my Ogio zipperless ball pocket with mostly a hand cart, sometimes a ride cart... I haven't had a ball fall out once and that includes getting it in and out of the trunk of my car.

I noticed that after a while on their bags, the ball pocket does not really look "closed".  Both seem to have a little gap at the top.  Picking the bag up out of the trunk of a car, if anything close to level or a little past level, they seem to have balls fall out.  Hope you have good luck with yours.

I had one. The only time a golf ball ever fell out was when I was pulling the bag out of my trunk and putting it back, because the lift is on the pocket. But I never had an issue when walking or riding in a cart.

my wife has an ogio bag with that zipperless pocket.    It doesn't fully close anymore - always seems to get caught on something in the top of the trunk when removing it from the trunk, which "springs" it somewhat.   Nothings ever fallen out of it though ... I still wouldn't buy a bag with it after having one

Thanks everyone for the replies... pretty  much what I was looking for. I'm contemplating taking it back and getting another bag. Thanks again.

Have one and like others only time balls escaped was pulling it from the car and something snagged the pouch open. Nothing came out riding in the cart.

Dave, how long have you had yours? Roughly how many rounds with it? And I'm wondering if the way it springs back will wear out after time. Those are my concerns. Thanks

I have used Ogio bags with the zipperless ball pocket for the last three years.  I own 4 of them and only the oldest one had a problem with balls sometimes falling out of the pocket.  The springs they use in their newer bags are stronger and more resilient than their earlier models.  Obviously if you overstuff the bag with golf balls and it's not able to completely close balls may fall out but I usually carry 12 - 18 balls in the bag without ever having a problem.

I have 2 Ogio Chamber bags with their Silencer technology and I can turn the bag completely upside down without balls or clubs falling out.

Thanks for that Newtogolf. I love the bag a lot! And I love that zipperless pocket, but for some reason I'm a little worried about it and don't want it to become a problem later. Thanks for you input

I have one and I have to be really careful when carrying the bag.  I have balls and other stuff come out of the pocket before.   It is not a sound design IMO.   To make it worse, over time, the pocket opening has gotten bigger.   I will eventually try to fix it before I lose more things.

    • Day 444 - 2025-12-18 Light day of hotel room work. GEARS Summit v2.0 today. Good day.
    • Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.
    • I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.
    • I found it entertaining, but the announcing was lousy.  How did the measuring on the final shot start with Rory being closer and being told he won, and then with no explanation it turns out Scottie won?  Weird.
    • Day 128 12-18 Worked on rotation and getting to lead side. Still working on the flow feeling while doing that. Recorded swings.
