Putting is normally my strong suit. I average 35 putts per round and even had a couple of 29 putt days in the last two years. Lately tho, its been awful. I suspect I may be standing a bit too upright. How much knee bend should I have while putting.

What is the problem?

Is it your reads, your speeds, or your beads (aim) that is causing the misses? Identify that first, then work on improving it.

As for knee flex, I would say just enough to get your eyes directly over the ball or slightly inside. Beyond that, it's pretty individual in terms of what's right.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Ive changed from a belly to a 34" putter and have "soft" knees but a slightly wider stance. Gives me a lower centre of gravity and seems to help me. The Pro at my local golf shop recommended this to me when buying my new putter. Might be worth getting a second pair of eyes to have a look?

Problem is speed and pulled putts. Wonder if standing up too straight is causing the pulls and making it hard to read the speed.

Thats some sound advice.

When I pull a putt it is because I followed the ball with my head after hitting it.  It slightly closes the club face.  Keep focused on a spot on the back of the ball and watch the putter head hit the ball and keep the eyes looking at where the ball was.  After it is on it's way, I start watching the ball.  I'm good at speed and bead, but I suck at the read.
