The course must be playing tough with only 2 players under par after 2 rounds.

Pablo Larazzabal leads at -3.

The cut was made at +10

Sergio at +3 and Kaymar is at +2.

This has been a really good watch. It's absolutely brutal and very much like a US Open in terms of the conditions; rapid greens, really tight fairways and brutal rough - it's not even that long, at 6,990 yards. Currently, nobody is at par or better for the tournament. Great to see them work for every shot.

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

I saw a bit this AM. In the couple minutes I saw it was brutal. One flustered guy, I think it was one of the Molinari's, bladed the ball out of a bunker over the green into a pond. Don't see that often. They mentioned he'd just rolled out a bunch of bogeys and a double.

A lot of carnage on that course, leader is +1 on the round, no one under par.  One of the golfers walking off looked like he'd been in a fight he was so exhausted.

It's just a shame the European Tour doesn't have the purses the PGA offers - this is a better event and a better test than its PGA counterpart this weekend. It'll be interesting to see if the change in management at the head of the tour has an effect over the next few years as there's much more variety with the events such as this one, the Irish Open, the Alfred Dunhill and the Scottish Open. For me, it's far more interesting than the target golf you often get week-in, week-out over in the US.

Only Joost Luiten could shoot under par and is one behind the lead at +2.

The Frenchman Mike Lorenzo-Vera is in the lead at +1after shooting a level par 71.

Martin Kaymar shot level par and is also at +2.

Cabrera Bello at +6,Sergio at +7.

Tough course.

Nearly missed it this morning as I hadn't realised they'd pushed the start forward to help players acclimatise before next week's event in China. Looks like the course is playing a little easier today with Kaymer off to a good start. Should be a fun watch!

Luiten and Kaymer share the lead now. Come on!

Exciting so far, Sergio Garcia with a very good score so far. Four players at T1 right now, including Garcia and Luiten.

And while I type this Garcia with a very bad approach.

The tention is killing me. Garcia bogeys the last, Morrison double bogey at 16 and Luiten with two good par saves in a row. Luiten and Johnston both share the lead with a few holes left to play.

Pablo with 17 shots in two holes....ouch

And now Kaymer in the water at 17. Looks like it's between Johnston and Luiten now for victory.

Some people should not have beards. Morrison is one of those guys.

Good putt from Johnston. If Luiten birdies 18 it will be a play-off, if not Johnston will take his first victory on the European Tour. Great tournament.

It was, but not a good approach. Looks like Johnston is going to win...

Johnston wins! Great for him, did some good things today. Congrats on his first victory on the European Tour.

I can't imagine a more appropriate golfer than Andrew Johnson to be bestowed the nickname "Beef." Bring him to America.
