Hi all,

Game Golf users have their own place to post their rounds and get feedback, but I didn't see one for Arccos.  I picked an open box Arccos up at the local Scheels for $150, so I figured I couldn't beat the price to give it a try.  So far so good.  I don't see a way to post a link to the entire round yet, I have a support ticket sent into Arccos for that just waiting to hear back.  I have taken screenshots of my overall stats and plan on posting my per round stats as I play.  I encourage any other Arccos users to do the same!

I have (1) 18 hole round in and (4) 9 hole rounds in...Approaches could use some work, and have been the main focal point at the range lately.

There must not be many Arccos users on here...I have used it a few times now, and I think its a pretty neat device.  If you start your round in the app and then just leave your phone in your pocket for the round, maybe check it once after each hole, my battery only drains about 20% at most.

This was my round for league last night, about 15-20 mph winds (I always seem to play better in wind for some reason) and drizzle at times.

Played out of the sand like a 25 handicap I see.  This distance is off by quite a bit though, guess I forgot to go in and move the flag to where it was...One on 18 I was 10 feet away and lipped out (started on 18).  Then on 15 after the rain had hardened the bunkers out a bit I caught one thin, it went over the green, but only about 3 feet into the rough, still about 30 feet from the pin.

Yeah, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't post your rounds in the GG thread anyways.

I think the way the "Game Golf" link works is preferred over posting a copy of the entire data output.

Yes much easier and better, and that is something I have emailed Arccos about and they are working on it they told me.  It's a bit of a process to post the data with Arccos, but it only takes a couple minutes.

I don't feel right doing that since it's a Game Golf thread and I would feel as if I was hijacking it posting Arccos rounds.  This is the biggest reason I am thinking of getting Game Golf is because there aren't many users I know or on here that use Arccos and the easy way you can post your rounds with GG.

Posting rounds is the point of the thread, it would only be hijacking of you did something other than that. Besides, it's a lot better than talking to yourself.

I don't know that I agree with that totally. When the thread is dedicated to Game Golf, adding in posts for another system isn't really following the subject of the thread. Though I agree that it would be better than having a thread with nobody else able to participate. Kind of a strange situation.

No thanks. It's a thread for GAME GOLF users.

Let's stick to the topic in this thread now. :-)

My Arccos 360 just got delivered so you won't be alone for long. I'm looking forward to not having to tag every shot...wasn't a fan of the GG process, so I'm hopeful this is a better experience. My only complaint right now is the putter tag. It doesn't really fit the oversized grips, couldn't get it to go in all the way. I had the same issue with GG tags on putters.

I've played 4 rounds with the Arccos 360 and it's great.  I'm working out the bugs, but it's super easy to just set it and play. I choose it over Game Golf for that reason.  They have said they are coming out with more "social media" stuff, so we'll see...

Just swapped my SkyGolf GT2 setup for the Arccos 360 today.  Hoping to get out early next week to try it out!  Will post here after I do that.

Random side note, is it possible to use Arccos the night before to plan out a round?

4-PW: CG7 Tour w/ TT Dynamic Gold Stiff Shafts50º (8º Bnce), 56º (14º Bnce), 60º (8º Bnce):

@ChappyEight yes, I have done it several times.  Just go in and download the course and you should be able to pull it up by starting a new round and checking out the holes, and then you can cancel the round.

I will have to post some of my rounds with the new 360 system.  I like it much better as they have a slimmer profile and I don’t have to swap out batteries.  A great update to an already amazing product.

Played my first round of the season last night. Practice round for our company league.

Not bad for the first night out. One bad drive and a few crappy irons. Putted okay.

Played in an Elite Am Tour event this past Saturday at the Links at Stoney Pointe. First time playing there and it was a very nice course that was in great shape. Greens were extremely undulating.

Shot even par 72 and won low gross in the Senior Flight. I hit every green in regulation which I don't think I've ever done before in a tournament. Hit every club from a LW to a 6 iron.

When you're going to play a course for the first time with Arccos, do you check ahead of time to see if Arccos' tee and yardage info is correct?

I ask, because I played a course this weekend that I hadn't used Arccos on before.  (I'm sure there's a simpler way to say that.)  Arccos had yardages for black, blue and white tees all incorrect.  One hole was a par 5, but they listed it as a par 4 with yardages off by >100 yards.  (The hole used to be a short par 4; sometime in the last couple years, they built new tees and changed it to a par 5.  Which I birdied with 4 strokes.)

I submitted the corrections and copy of scorecard to Arccos so they can update the course.  But if I had thought to check a few days earlier, I might have been able to get it fixed before I played.

Yes I usually do check before I play. So far they have been pretty accurate. Sometimes the yardages are off some but not by much.

The Preview Caddie has been helpful as well.

    • Day 44 - Hit some wedges with the intention of working on my 100-yard shot, but instead worked the face a bit. Intentionally trying to hit the toe, heel, and center of the face. I definitely have a heel bias, but focusing on turning my body helped to get things in the center.
    • I think for this, I need to work on my weight transfer. I can feel my self looking up early and falling back slightly. So, I am hitting them a bit fat right now. I need to stay on my left side better or get to my left side better. Kind of like old pattern stuff.  Yep, I was a bit worried about the driver since we didn't get to it. First drive was a push draw because I moved the ball back a bit because there is no range to warm up and I wanted to make sure contact was good. I hit it great, just pushed it slightly. I was like, OK, this will work. I moved the ball back to the normal position and the next 4 out of 5 holes I used a driver was just the ball at most 10 yards off my target line. 😃
    • Sounds good for the full swing stuff!
    • Didn’t score the best, but probably the best I’ve done implementing the swing feels on the course.  Preshot routine - make one practice swing hands down only hitting  the ground like 3 ft behind the ball. Make a 2nd practice swing where I add a bit of turn back in.  Set up and make a swing with those feels. Driver - A stripe show. Just laser beams at my target. Like under 10 yards of curve. Irons - pretty solid. Contact was flush. Just slight pull draws. Just need a bit of face control. It’s close. I had an 8 iron that left the club, didn’t leave the flagstick. The ball probably moved 1 yard in the air. I came up like 4 yards short.  Distance wedges - Needs work.  Short Game - needs work from different lies. Putting - Made almost everything inside of 10 ft.  Going forwards, still going to work on the swing. Backswing length and arms down stuff. I need to work on my distance wedges a lot.
    • Reasonably dry by the afternoon/evening. Some players not seeing many or any mud balls. Maybe they should have hit their tee shots lower. 🙂  Also, for as much as this was supposed to be a bomber's paradise… Luke Donald is T3. He'll turn 48 this year.
