I've been playing golf for over 50 years, but I never had time to play regularly until I retired from my jobs as a psychologist and professor. I get in at least 2 or 3 rounds a week now. I also write a golf column that runs in a few small-town weekly newspapers here. I play most of my golf at various courses in the TX Hill Country or in San Antonio.

I've been lurking for a while and I'm looking forward to participating. It looks like a good group.

Welcome!

You describe yourself a lot like a gentleman who wrote "Fairway Words".  If your posts are as interesting as that blog, I very much look forward to your posts.

In fact, I am the same guy (gentleman may be stretching it a bit) responsible for Fairway Words. It's good to hear from you, Brian, and thanks for the kind words.

Welcome to TheSandTrap.

I know you'd figure this out on your own, but when you mention a mamber, its often best to use the feature here:

https://thesandtrap.com/how-to/mention-members/

Depending on their settings, they'll get a notification that someone is talking about them.  Of course, if you want to talk behind their back, just omit the @.....

Many thanks @DaveP043. I might have eventually figured that out, but you made it a lot easier!
