Ok, kinda proud of myself on this but with a bunch of help from google, I figured it out.

Its Darius Rucker.

We do love a challenge and we love to help here at the sand traps. Top work! I initially thought it was Dan Patrick but proved otherwise.

Haha, so lemme try and recreate this.  First I asked the wife to confirm that she also thought the initials were D and R, and then I started with a search of "golfers with initials dr."  Each time I saw a name on that list that looked like a possibility, I googled that persons name and "signature."  There weren't many.  I checked Donald Ross, and I even checked Patrick Reed, just in case.  Then a couple of other similar searches for celebrities and athletes with those same initials had me confirming it wasn't Daniel Radcliffe or Denise Richards, then I stumbled across this silly trivia page.

Starting at the bottom and working up , and after passing questions that had Daniel Radcliffe and Denise Richards as their answers, I saw NBA MVP in 2011 and somehow immediately thought of Derrick Rose.  No luck.  Then when I saw the Hootie question, it all kind of flashed at once - I know he's a big sports guy, (after all the Dolphins make him cry), and I thought I'd seen him on some of those celebrity golf telecasts so it seemed like a perfect fit.  Also probably because I was recalling this video:

@Golfingdad  Surprised you didn't see the "k" near the end of the last name and be able to narrow it down by that.  Still impressive to find that signature, but it seems like that would've made it a lot easier.
