Day 23 (30 Dec 21) - Played 18 today (last round of the year).  Focus was on the grip and keeping it strong.  More predictable ball flight for sure and better overall accuracy. Great day of on course work!

Day 9:

Okay, so yesterday I did a bunch of mirror work and then tried to translate that to hitting balls. I filmed a couple of my swings (the first, the last, on in the middle). I want to look at them before my next mirror work session. So, I'll have time to do that later.

So far this morning I did 10-15 minutes of putting. Which was mostly bead work. I did the old string drill on six footers. Then I did the gate drill. Each of these with a dozen balls.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 24 (31 Dec 21) - got in the yard for a few moments, worked on some pitches with the SW, my go to club around the green.  Focus today was on gripping down vs my grip position to get the bounce working best.

Day 69 (12/31/21) - Played 5 holes at North Kingstown today.  With all of the rain we've had this week, the course was soaked and given the heavy air, the ball didn't go anyplace, not to mention my really poor swings for the first few holes. Had a great time however. Also made use of an empty hole to practice 50 yard wedge shots, first with my 53* SW then with my 49* UW.

I also got to try out my new Shot Scope V3.

Happy New Year everyone!

Day 10:

Okay, so yesterday I did a lot of mirror work. Trying staying in super-slow motion. I've already done a little more of that today. I plan to do even more.

I also already worked on some putting today.
Since the old string drill was still set up for six footers, I spent 10 minutes on that. I always like to do the gate drill after the string drill, so I spent a few more minutes on that as well.

The other thing I plan to do today is put a grip on an old wedge I found in my closet. I'm going to stick that in my office with some dimes and foam balls. I'll do chipping drills during breaks in conference calls.

Day 62, January 1, 2022

You can't practice every day of the year if you don't practice the first day of the year. 🙂

Spent an hour before juniors this morning and then about ten minutes afterward. Same stuff.

    • There are so many videos comparing and contrasting everything that I am both overwhelmed and more than a bit skeptical. Your comments above are much more valuable than hours of you-tube videos. Generally speaking, I’d much prefer to read something that someone took the time and trouble to write (such as your comments) than a bunch of videos, or worse, meaningless reviews that seem like they are all cut and paste selections of the same script. I’m more of a RTFM type than a watcher of “instructional” videos. By way of explanation, I don’t watch TV either.  So thanks - I’ll take that under advisement. I have an H3 that I bought for $10 that I’ve been carrying around but not sure why. Seems like a cool club, but I just don’t really know what to do with it.
    • I was using the window as a mirror. Just trying to be a more aware of the feels for a better backswing. Trying to not be as closed from A1 to A2. Then not letting the club head flip inside. What I was feeling was a pressure my right wrist, and like the palm of my right hand was pushing upward against the grip of the club. My right hand was the underside of the swing path.  Going to play around with this a bit more. It looked pretty decent with mirror/window work. Just wanted to jot it down.
    • Day 4: 3/26/25 Par4Success workout followed by putting through 50 mm gates.
    • Day 249: did a stack putting session and then worked on 5 foot putts for a bit.
    • Day 17 (26 Mar 25) -  Big day working on a project at church - therefore it was grab some time with the 9i in the backyard working on pitch and runs later in the day.  Focused on keeping the ball flighted to get some good rollout.  Hit about 20 shots doing that and then moved to the 54 to keep working on getting good torso rotation and not flipping through it.  Was not perfect as there were some bloopers and fliers but overall a good session on distance control.
