Day 87: 2/27/2023

I didn't do any putting yesterday so I did a bunch today.
I did bead work on the indoor putting green several times through out the day. Mostly I did mirror drills and gate drills.

I also leave a 7 iron near the mirror outside my office and I try to get a few quality slow motion swings in every time I pass by.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 88: 02/28/2023

This morning I hit balls in the net in the garage. Focusing on my priority pieces a bit. But also just trying to get comfortable with where my swing is. I'm less than 2 weeks out from a golf trip and I'd like to bring my swing pretty much "as is". The swing is mostly in a good place right now. So, I'm going to spend the next few days just filming and reinforcing so that nothing goes off the rails.

Later, I happened to be at a customer who's near a range with a putting green so I got out and did some lag putting for a while. It's hard to do any lag putting in the winter.

And finally, I just did my over-speed training. Even with that, I tried to keep my swings somewhat realistic rather than swinging like an insane war tomato.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 89: 3/1/23

Such a beautiful day outside today I really wanted to get to the range. I failed to do so.

I did get some nice work on my priority pieces in the garage net.

I also did putting bead drills (Day 15 of the COVID-19 30 day practice plan) at least twice today.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 67 - Putting practice today, mainly worked on getting a pre-putt routine down which keeps me moving and minimizes my tendency to second guess myself when I'm over the ball ready to putt.

    • Based on the video I posted and my thoughts, I think Rory is ok. A caddy is a caddy at the end of the day, imo. Stay out of the way. Ryder Cup or not, you shouldn’t be anywhere close to competitors when potentially interfering in their play.
    • I think Rory may have overreacted a bit.  Depending on what someone said because he definitely looks to be reacting to something someone said off camera.  But that last angle they showed on 'Live From' doesn't make LaCava look good either.  He's not in Rory's line but he's definitely in his space as Rory is trying to get into his routine.  And when Rory shoo's him away, he lingers and says something to either Rory or someone just past Rory, as Rory is crouched down reading the putt. Then he waves his hand at Rory who's in his routine fully at that point.  Rory could have given it a couple seconds to quiet down as well.  Neither had a great moment, but they are reacting in real time to huge emotional moments.  Tough to get on anyone too hard for that.  Hopefully makes for great sporting tomorrow and a comeback for the ages.

    • U.S. deficit was also 4 in 1999 at Brookline. I also think Rory was yelling at someone past Bones. I heard it stemmed from La Cava getting near where Rory was walking for his putt to tie the 18th (on the other side of the hole from where Rory would putt from, so not in his line). Heaven forbid you celebrate a little, Rory. From what I've heard, Rory was in the wrong there, especially after all the shit Cantlay took all day about his hat. I reserve the right to change my mind given more information.
    • Tomorrow is going to have some bite to it. Largest come back 2012. Euros accomplished this. Came back from 4. Team USA has a fire right now. Tomorrow should be solid. I am ok with Rory and Bones getting into it. Ryder Cup baby. Be upset be all in. This was missing from Friday. Let’s go. USA USA.
