Day 83 (01/14/22) - Indoor putting practice today. Did the Day 11 pendulum drill, 6' to the edge of the cup drill and perfect putt ladder drills.

Day 23, 1/14/2022

I got some good practice in today. 
Started with putting drills. Working on Bead, gate drill, string drill, you know the drill.... 😁

I did my mirror work both with and without a club.

Then I took my mirror work and went right to the garage to hit balls with the same feels as the mirror work gave me. It went well. I hit about a dozen 6 irons on the Skytrak driving range. They all landed in about a 10 yard wide circle. That was kinda cool to see. 

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Practiced for 10 minutes before two long GEARS students showed up. Mostly to stay warm. 🙂

Day 37 (14 Jan 22) - Played 18 today with son and grandson.  Was able to work on maintaining good setup through out the round, i.e. not getting lazy at the end.  This paid off with more consistent, almost predictable shot shaping, for the round.

Day 84 (01/15/22) - Practiced putting (perfect putt ladder drill on my PuttOUT mat) and chipping (Padraig Harrington indoor drill).

Day 76, January 15, 2022

Practiced for 15 minutes after junior lessons. Mostly full-swing stuff, slower, but without much pausing. Trying to hit A2 without the clubhead being shut/out.

Day 24: 1/15/2022

I had a great practice day yesterday. Not as much time today. So, I only got 10 minutes of mirror work. I will say I think the mirror work is ... working... for lack of a better word.

I also did just a little bit of putting, but not really serious. 

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day ???:

Covid in the household has gotten the better of my golf practice lately so I’m pretty sure starting over at day 1.

Did some short game Covid-19 day 6/7 drills outdoors because the weather is pleasant, and then did some hip turn priority piece work indoors with LVP camera.

      I've been Playing Golf for: 40 yrs My current handicap index or average score is: 4.0 factor My typical ball flight is: Straight however sometimes slight draw. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: squirt to the right due to to much arm not enough turn.       The first issue Erik spoke about is something we worked on for my swing during both GEARS sessions. GEARS was showing my pelvis center moving towards the ball during the back swing. I wasn’t the 4” guy though! This forced me to correct on the downswing to give myself space. My hip rotation was to high as well. We corrected it by first getting the weight off my heels in my stance and getting my posture correct. Then the feel was shifting back into my right hip at a 45 degree angle. This kept my pelvis center from moving towards the ball at the start of the backswing. I also didn’t sway back as much as I felt I did because of the angle I was shifting. Feel Ain’t Real. The cool thing about GEARS is as you work on something you can see the exact (Real) change happening. On video, it is much harder to spot this issue because of the 2D nature of filming. But I know what to look for now. Sadly, I was hurt all last year and most of this year so I really haven’t been able to work on it much. I did do a lot of backswing work though.
