Day 1: 5/5/2022

I did 101 days straight of practice. Then played my person major tournament and took 2 weeks off.
Now, I'm back into it.

So, Day 1 did my GEARS session with Eric.... Yoda.

I've already done a little bit of mirror work with my 7 iron. There will be more tomorrow.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 186, May 5, 2022

Hit balls for ten minutes before an early lesson. Wish I had more time today, but it was a long day.

I know what you think I'm going to say, but no.

Day 60.   Today I played 18 holes at a course that I briefly considered would be my new home course.  I shot an 86, despite two double bogeys coming from hitting approaches over the green by hitting a shot too well (just such a solid shot that the ball went beyond where I typically hit that club, by quite a bit).  I also had a tee shot that went into a bunker I used to use as a target because I couldn't reach it.   So that was fun!

Day 2: 5/6/2022

Already got in front of the mirror this morning. Trying to compare my new set up and my priority piece to my GEARS videos.

One thing I really like about GEARS is if you get one "right" on GEARS it makes it easy to compare it to ones you get "wrong" then you can spend your time trying to come up with feels that help you get it more "right" than "wrong".

Day 567: Range today working on my new pieces. Irons felt good with the new setup, stronger grip and flow from the top. Ball flight was straighter with less push. Driver is still a push fade though. I did lots of slow swings working on the wrist feel. That’s going to take a lot more work. Finished with some short game chips and pitches.

Day 148 (06 May 22) - Played the back nine at Minnesott today.  The course was in great shape as they are having a local one day tournament there tomorrow.  As I was solo, I had a few moments to hit secondary shots into the greens.  Played the original for scoring purposes but wanted to work on repeatability as I had been working on my stance, more upright, at the house.  Saw much better iron striking.

Day 61.  After yesterday's pretty good ballstriking round, I was excited to get back to the drill after work today.

I will aim to do some short game/putting this weekend, though, and get some full swing video.

Day 27

This rain is getting old. Kind of funny how hitting balls inside is awesome during the winter, but not so much during the spring/summer. Hit some 3 and 4 irons today. Both off the mat and off a tee. As the course I'll be playing in the league this year isn't that long. Struck the ball really well with the 4. Off a low tee, the 3 iron was great. Off the turf had a few misses. Which is understandable given that it's really small blade. But man does it feel and fly great when I hit it.

Still, I'm thinking of swapping in a hybrid or wood. I frankly don't hit the 3 iron all that much. And feel like I'd get more utility out of a hybrid or 5 wood.
