Day 207, May 26, 2022

Hit balls at Whispering Woods. The mats (which are being replaced) are lousy.

Day 09 - played 9 holes. Need to figure out a simple swing thought that lets me hit a consistent shot shape.  I need to start hitting a target line. I said that to myself like 4 times today, but never once did that when making a swing. My thoughts went directly to my swing motion.

Day 1

Did fifteen minutes of mirror work. Left arm in, club head out, right shoulder away from right ear. Gets me in a good position at the top.

Day 81.  Today was WFH, so I got plenty of time in my office-adjacent swing room.  I know I hit at least four dozen balls today, 7-iron, my usual focuses.  Then I tried to get to the course to get video and it was packed so I turned around.

Day 168 (26 May 22) - played 18 with son and grandson today.

Day 131:

Not as good a practice day as yesterday, worked on the same thing, and also tatted with 10 minutes of swinging fast to get it out of my system before slowing way down.

Day 82.  Today is going to be a travel day, so before heading out this morning, I spent 15 minutes practicing.  Five of those were full swings with 7-iron, the other ten were quarter and half swings with my gap and sand wedges.

Day 584: Yesterday’s post didn’t go in for some reason. Did range work and filmed. I didn’t like the session. Today worked a bit on follow through and sitting more into my left side during transition in addition to Leaning Tower feel.

day 82: played a matchplay in our ladder-competition which i won 3 up, 2 to go..

Day 10 - Went to the range at lunch. Tried working on axis tilt stuff while keeping my head steadier.

Day 208, May 27, 2022

About 90 minutes downtown. Happy anniversary! 🍾

Day 211 - 9-hole league tonight. A kind of Mehhh! performance on my part.

Day 132:

Got some blisters on my fingers so couldn’t do much. Just some chippy swings with 8-iron, working on getting into lead side.

Day 212 - After reviewing stats from last night's round, "Mehh" is an overstatement as I didn't do anything particularly well. 

I missed several short putts left last night, so today (overcast/rainy) I worked on putting setup and alignment (PuttOUT mat and mirror) then stroking 2' and 3' putts  going through my entire routine.

Day 169 (28 May 22) (did not skip yesterday, as I worked on putt stroke and overall swing - just forgot to post so is counts as a “day off”) Today, played a Captain’s Choice tourney with some friends.  Was fun and had a good ball striking day overall.  We didn’t win, but made some great memories!

Day 585: Played 9 with my wife and a friend at Laurel Lane. Hit the ball pretty well. Toed a couple approach shot. With my new, more upright stance, I should get closer to the ball. I will do the marker drill tomorrow.

Day 83.  Went to a nearby (to where I'm staying this extended weekend) course with a great short game and practice putting green (their range looks nice too, but I didn't use it today).  I hit quarter shots (primarily focusing on technique, I really should have done a drill or something, I had a great chipping green to myself) with my 58 and 54.  I also hit some pitch shots with the 58 and some sand shots with the same.  I also did some of the really short chip shots (the ones that go maybe 8-12 yards) with both.  I then went over to the putting green for 4' and 6' 12-coin drills, using 15 and 20 putts respectively (I'm very happy with both scores).

Hit balls for 10 or 12 minutes waiting for a lesson to arrive. Shorter, wider, still just as far.
