Hi Folks: I’m looking for recommendations on a golf bag designed for a push cart. I’m looking for it to be light weight yet durable, 14 full length dividers, one with a wide mouth for an oversize putter grip.  Pockets of different sizes; a small one near top for tees and markers, another a little larger for wallet & keys, a mid-size at the bottom for balls, a larger pocket for a rain jacket and while not critical, an insulated pocket for drinks would be nice too. Finally, I would hope that all the pockets have the zippers facing front so no matter whether I’m using my push cart, or I occasionally get lazy and load it onto a riding cart, there would still be access. And finally, of utmost importance, easy to get the clubs in and out.

Does such a bag exist?

The two bold things are somewhat at odds. Things can only be so light with that much plastic (or whatever) you use for the separation.

I'm thinking with new irons and graphite shafts full length dividers would be preferable. I think I'd sacrifice a little weight for that.

Weight shouldn't be a problem with a push cart.   Get a bag that has the pockets you need, especially one for beverages!   Most new push carts come with larger wheels which are easily pushed.

If you want to go luxury - there are Vessel Bags. Apparently used by PGA Touring Pros.  They have a 10% off code and free shipping. Lux Cart 2.0 and you can do a custom color bag.

I was looking at the Ping Pioneer, Ping Traverse, SM H2No Lite Cart Bag or another SM bag for push cart use.

Ping G400 Max 9/TPT Shaft, TEE EX10 Beta 4, 5 wd, PXG 22 HY, Mizuno JPX919F 5-GW, TItleist SM7 Raw 55-09, 59-11, Bettinardi BB39

. Yeah, beverages compartments are pretty important. I could carry a 12 pack, and 2 sub sandwiches if I needed to. Longer rounds, in warm weather demand extra nutrients for consistant play. A big old staff bag usually works well.

I have two Sun Mountain bags that I use on Bag Boy QuadXL. I have a SM 4.5 and a SM Sync. Both work great, but the Sync is probably more what you are looking for. That being said, SM does make a 4.5 with 14 slots.

Just recently I had to buy a new bag because my old bag was falling apart (cheap one). I don't usually spend too much on a bag because I play a lot and they just wear out (no matter the cost). I have a Sun Mountain Speed Cart and I found a bag at Dicks/Golf Galaxy that fits on it pretty well. Got it for less than 100 bucks. It's a Maxfli Cart bag. It has the dividers you are looking for, plenty of pockets and even has a cooler.

My bag:

Taylor Made R7 (x-stiff).
Taylor Made Burner 2 irons (stiff)
Cleveland Wedges (gap and 60)
Odyssey two ball putter (white)

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I happened to be in the PGA Superstore today and looked at their bags. They had many of the models you've all mentioned in stock and I gravitated towards the Sun Mountain Sync. Not too big, not too small and has most of the features I'm looking for covered. Now I just have to pay a visit to our pro-shop and hope they carry it. I have a hundred bucks in Closest to the Pin credits from this past season's league play that I haven't cashed in yet which I'd like to apply towards the purchase.

I forgot to mention, when playing on the weekend i walk with a push cart but when I play in the league during the week (different course) we ride and my current bag, an almost but not quite staff bag size Ogio, it's too wide for the back of the cart. When with a partner it barely fits onto the cart and it's so squished the side pockets are inaccessible.

I'll keep looking but I like the SM Sync.

You could probably find the Sun Mountain Sync online for about $140 +/- including shipping if you don't mind it being a 2017 model. There are several colors available from different suppliers. The Sync is designed to work with the Sun Mountain Speed Carts.
