So it looks like delivery date on Indiegogo page was November last year, delayed to 2nd quarter this year. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this. Not tempted enough to contribute yet.

We have a thread on this:

I don't really get it. Launch monitors make sense to me but why buy $25 golf balls?

It's not practical for practicing because you'd have to chase your ball down all the time (which you can't do on the range anyway) or play it on the course, in which case I don't really need a smart ball to tell me I hooked that last shot and lost $25 to the ravine :-P

I lose enough balls that I saw land in front of me. Maybe part of me just wants my smartphone to lead me to the asshole who took my ball - me standing there with my smartphone in jerk's face - "See, app says it's my ball. GPS RFID says so."

I'd be curious just to try a box as well, see how it works. The Indiegogo minimal buy in is $50 just for the right to get notified and buy balls when they're ready. The way the team is managing this really puts me off.

I don't really have that problem because my ball says "Snell" on it. Last year I also played with pink balls, even lost one on an adjacent hole once and some lady found it and gave it back to me a few holes later because she knew it was mine :-D

They're supposedly $25/ball. I'm not that curious.

WAT, $25? Forget about it.

When people banter about there isn't there a gps ball, no one told me there isn't a way for the ball to buffer the magnitude of impact so that the electronics don't break. I heard stuff like range, battery.  That's the interesting take away I got from the video. Whether that's a marketing hype or true, I dunno.

The other thing I was thinking was as wireless charging got better, maybe they were able to build this now because wireless charging of the unit in the ball?

This appears to be a very innovated product.
Not sure of the cost, but it seems versatile to fit many models.
Clicgear models are a popular product for golfers who have push carts.

@Club Rat, the renderings mean it's likely vaporware until it isn't.

I'm going to be reviewing one of these bad boys soon: https://qodgolfusa.com .

Edit: okay they have some actually produced:

Nice, I like the versatility of adapting to various push carts and that the component is small and compact for transporting to the golf course.
Looking forward to your review, I did notice MyGolfSpy has reviewed this product and may read it later.

It will be interesting to see other comments from powered pushcart owners as to comparison.
Pros and Cons of push carts, weight comparisons, etc.

I love the testimonials in the first video. “This training aid will improve my body awareness, make me a better person, help me cure cancer.”

The second one looks pretty good.  :-P

    • North Carolina weather is really nice right now. We had a lot of wet weather in February and March. I'm tired of playing in the mud, luckily it's great conditions at the moment but the heat is starting to kick in, so it's mornings or evenings for now.
    • I have had help from different teaching pro's with no fix. I'm a 4 handicap and have struggled with shanks for 1 year now. They come and go, but typically I can't get through a small bucket w/o multiple shanks. Yesterday I put all my equipment bags and everything that is related to golf in the attic.  To see a teaching pro who says stand further away from the ball is a waste. There is a problem with the swing that introduces the hozel to the ball. Just can't find anyone in the Orlando FL area that can diagnose it and get me through it. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I've obviously taken the most drastic step.
    • Power player, you'll routinely be 30+ yards behind my drives ;)
    • I'm not sure what kind of golfer I am. I can play alone or with anyone. I can play for $ and be serious about my game or go out and just play for the fun/relaxation of it. I tend to play to the level of my competition. The better the players I play with/against, the better I play. I also have learned over the past few years that some days I'm just not going to play as well as I do on others. I guess I'm a "go with flow" golfer?
    • Irons have responded really well to the priority pieces during my range sessions over the weekend. I am hitting more balls flush and less fats/thins as percentages of my shots than I ever have. Every swing I tuck some of my right shirt sleeve under my armpit to remind me to keep my right arm/elbow low.  I have been hitting some straight pulls now, not huge pulls, still in play if I was approaching a green, but a little time working on making my club path more neutral should fix that. I am getting more used to the proper feeling on the way back, I am slowly starting to think about the right arm on the downswing, but I really want to make sure I consistently get into the right position on the backswing before focusing on the downswing.   Driver has been hit or miss. Not fully confident with it at the moment, but having the feeling of hitting more level through the ball has helped with accuracy, and I don't know this for sure, but my AoA is still probably slightly positive on those (I was already 4-6 up previously, so those "level" feeling hits are probably 1-2 up). A slightly slower feeling tempo has helped too. In reality it probably doesnt look much different on camera, but the results so far seem to be much better.    Putting has been really solid, getting more and more used to not accelerating through the stroke. Spent some time on 6 foot putts, and managed to make 22/25 6 footers including like 14 or 15 in a row.
