Professional club and car cleaned

Hey all

simple question would you pay to have your car professionally cleaned or detailed while you enjoy a round? Then clubs cleaned when you finish. I’m a avid golfer and a local firm has started doing this and is brilliant! They use no water or bad chemicals so very echo friendly green.

How do they clean cars and clubs with no water?

The mobile auto wash can be a success, if approached to specifics.  As in, "carwash at work", or partnering with major hospitals, business, inc's. Places with large employee parking and good jobs. Good jobs being important.  Simple text messaging is the best form of communication with your consumer. Text Message: "Scrub Hub is on the way!"  "Scrub Hub has completed your vehicle". Things like....text "wash me" to 50505, or open the app, press one button, and just like uber, someone arrives to your vehicle. Speaking of Uber, partner with them. Be the Mobile Car Wash for Uber drivers esp in the high class vehicles. Engage on why they need your service to improve there's. Simple. Probably shouldn't give away all my ideas but guarantee they are out there now, maybe not at the scales I have mentioned above, but stay away from club cleaning...not going to work.

Hey totally agree with above club cleaned would just be an extra, the cars are priority, except it’s more than just a clean it’s more of a cosmetic detail as in removal of light scratches then waxed then all your chips touched in door edges etc... all while we enjoy a round of golf returning to a immaculate car( I have 25 years experience in motor paint repair)to answer other question it is a warterless wash system which is fantastic it literally lifts the dirt of your car and waxes at same time no mess no water very green.

My club has a mobile car wash on hand most weekends.  I've never used it.  Nor do I know anyone who has.

I tip the outside cart staff when they wipe down my clubs after the round.  But that's as much for the other services they provide as part of the staff as it is for actually wiping down the clubs.  I wouldn't pay someone to clean my clubs.

Yeah agree forget the clubs 

this would be professional vehicle cleaning to a very high standard, removal of scratches saving hundreds in paint shop bills applying high end waxes and polishes, offering loyalty cards you would book with your tee time also creating revenue for the club itself by leasing a dedicated area, I know I would pay for my pride and joy to be detailed and not to metion saving the environment with water and chemicals with these pop up washes using all bad stuff

All I can say is that last Summer a car detailing business opened near me, and they are constantly busy! And, what they will do after finishing a vehicle is park it out front with the hood up so you can check their work.

A few years ago I was invited to play a local private Country Club. When we pulled up at the end of the round a young man ran up to the cart and said "Clean your clubs, sir?" I said yes, and then looked around and found the man who was obviously in charge. I asked him if a tip was expected, and he said "No". These kids were paid by the CC for their work, so there was no need to tip.

I will say the young man did an excellent job, and my clubs were spotless!

Would i pay someone to clean my car? no, isn't that the point of having kids?

In all seriousness we have places near me that will collect your car from your place of work, do a full inside/out valet and return to you. Never felt comfortable letting a complete stranger take my car. Plus i think the dirt is the only thing holding the damn thing together!

All the more to have it cleaned while you enjoy a round? No body needs to drive your car. And your normal washes wouldn’t rectify scratches and offer a professional job Not to mention the saving our planet side of things?

Im saving the planet by not cleaning it at all at the moment. Plus all the rain we are having over in thr UK is doing a pretty good job. I dont understand how you can clean something without using water? To me that would just be moving the dirt around and without water to both wash the dirt away and reduce the friction of the cloth/sponge/brush there is more chance of damaging the paintwork.

I use water and an eco friendly cleaner that only contains natural ingredients so does no harm to the planet.

I don't think I'd use it. I keep my car pretty clean, and if I really wanted to get it detailed (which if I were to do I wouldn't do more than once in a blue moon) I wouldn't mind taking it somewhere for an hour or two.

That amount of time I'd do it if they also change the oil, rotate the tires and do a state inspection.

The waterless solution lifts the dirt off the car when applied you then use a micro fibre cloth to remove the dirt it leaves a wax residue which then polishes your paint, I have 20 years in paint experience so no the crack:) these wash techniques are popping up all over now days in carparks and multi-storey where there is no water feed and do a superb job. It is the future as government are clamping down on over use of water at these dis used Peteol station washes. And again where could you if you had a expensive vehicle or pride and joy get paint work rectified while you get a wash at same time all while you enjoy your game saving hundreds in paint shop bills

Sounds fine and dandy if you have a car worth looking after. If you have a crappy '08 Peugeot 206 like me its likely to be a waste of money (IMO). Bucket of soapy water and a couple of sponges and the kids are happy for half an hour or so.

Yeah I understand exactly I’d do the same bud, it would be more towards your prestige customers

Depends what you’d like doing the best wash would be an Albatross then eagle ,birdie , par for your standard clean. Ranging from £7-£69 plus lots of extras like chips touched up scratches looked at professionally, 4 year guaranteed waxes ceramic etc...
