It's an unfair fight.  You can delete my posts...but...attack me at will.  Must be fun.  And I think others reading these posts are fearful of expressing any opinions after seeing this mob attack.

  • None of your posts have been deleted.
  • You've never been attacked. This is one of the things about which you've lied. Repeatedly.
  • I would wager that others think you're nuts, and you're not worth their time, either.

I'm pretty comfortable with people seeing the original topic and this one and reaching a similar conclusion.

Well I "thought" this forum was an open discussion.

It is.

In the past, I've posted that I believed a lighter grip was better for me. The operative words being "believed" and "me". Others talked about their grips. Not everyone agreed but no one claimed to have been picked on. THAT, was an open discussion.

And guess what, I've kept an open mind and have tried varying grip pressures. Too loose of a grip is not good... for me. Too tight of a grip is not good... for me.

If you open your mind, you'll see that those advocating a tighter-than-holding-a-baby-bird grip also advocate loose wrists. They advocate holding the club in the fingers not gripping it as tight as possible in the palm of the hands.

I took your completely off topic post, which didn't discuss grip strength, and created a new topic.

All of this was explained in the second post, my post, in this topic. But again, your reading comprehension really appears to be sub-par, so at least you're consistent in having missed that.

As I was typing this I see that @The Committee did his job. Now I can go back to helping people, instead of wasting time saying things ten times over and over again to you.

Whatever...I've been warned...I'm not allowed to defend myself.

Incapable is a better word. Erik is right in that you’ve unfortunately become a waste of time. I’m sure you won’t read this or if so you won’t get the point but I’m gonna try. An example of how you’ve been responding:

You: I feel my clubhead go just past parallel on my backswing. Helps my rhythm.

Observing Instructor: Ok, but you’re club is about 8” shy of parallel.

You: It’s my feel and it works. I’ve helped others by telling them that and it helps.

Observing Instructor: That’s fine but I’m just saying your club is not just past parallel.

You: Oh....so you’re telling me how to swing my club? I’ve just shown you it works and now you’re attacking me?

Observing Instructor: No I’m just saying what you’re doing. I don’t care what you feel. I care about what you’re actually doing.

You: I see, so I’m a liar and you’re right and I’m wrong. Whatever.

Come on....

Don't tell me what grip pressure to use.  Get off your high horse dude...you are not the grip expert for me.

I extended an olive branch...but that didn't work....because nobody knows anything but you. ...

Breaking news from the obvious desk!  Grip pressure increases at the transition!.  Gee, why's that?  Does it have anything to do with the weight of the club traveling one way while the body is transitioning against the weight the other way?  I don't know...let's look at some charts!  This is more insidious than the "Arm Swing" video.

I've NEVER had a teacher tell me I'm full of garbage.  In fact, I've had lengthy discussions with them regarding how to tap-into getting folks to "let go", let the subconscious play a role in the golf swing.  Your teachings would be best suited to robots. Plus my pro played in the U.S. Open last year  He has adopted my "insane" accomplishments into his curriculum, and he uses me for demonstrations. He wanted to know if I would be inerested in co-authoring a book with him, and do a series of videos.  But of course he's an idiot...right?

This is what's causing a decline in golf...over-instruction...and bad instruction.  People make livings off "bad golf".  There's so many "guru's" trying to fight for relevance to the point they feel compelled to invent controversial "tips" to generate "clicks" by taking what works, and flipping it to "it might not work".  Then heads explode and the clicks come in.

I don't tell others what to do, how to think, how to feel, I relate my own experiences...in an open forum...or so I thought.  If that makes anyone uncomfortable then I must be hitting home.  Otherwise, I implore folks to go to the range, just let go, relax...just swing, forget all the nonsense.  You already know more than you think you do.

Dude, what are you doing?  I've had plenty of disagreements with @iacas and other people, but you have to know when to just let it go.  Explain your point, counter theirs, see common ground, and leave it alone.  It's not worth extra stress in your life to be this consumed with a forum on the internet.  Go do something with your life and enjoy your family.  Some people need to just stay off the internet.

    • Went back and reviewed my rounds this year at my home course to fill out the spreadsheet. Realized I have made at least par on each hole but two that I have bogied. At my skill level, it gives me a new confidence that I can play each hole decently well and strong together a lower score. Great mental boost.
    • I'm at 330 I think. I have a spreadsheet with all of them in it. It helps having lived in two countries. 159 in the US and 136 in the UK. Then a handful in Europe and a few in other countries (Canada, Australia, Mexico).
    • First Birdie of the year at Links of Sandpiper in Lakeland Fl, 450ys Par 5, Pulled driver to left rough trying to cut corner, Left myself 194 in uphill, hit my 5 iron to 8 feet. Unfortunately greens were in terrible shape and it was a sliding right to left putt, hit a nasty piece of dead spot and hopped left for a missed eagle putt with a 6 inch tap in for bird.
    • Was Talking with a buddy last night and got to thinking how many different courses we have played and was a little underwhelmed at my count. I assumed I was around 100 give or take. After about an hour of racking my brain I realized Im right at or just above 60. There could be a few that I cant recall or don't have record of but overall felt like that was a decent number. 55 in Florida, 2 in Arizona, 1 in New Hampshire, 1 in Michigan, and 1 in Indiana.  Now a new goal of getting to that 100 courses. Plan is to get to 75 by end of year and have dates of courses already set to get me to 70 so 75 shouldn't be out of question.  Below is the list of courses:  State Courses AZ Phoenician AZ The Legacy FL Abbey Course at St. Leo FL Babe Zaharias FL Bardmoor FL Bent Tree FL Big Cypress Exec FL Big Cypress South FL Bloomingdale FL Bobcat Trail FL Champions Gate FL Chi Chi Rodriguez FL Clearwater Country Club FL Club Renaissance  FL Copperhead FL Countryway FL Cove Cay FL Cypress Creek FL Diamond Hill FL Falcons Fire FL Fox Hollow FL Freedom Fairways FL Greenfield Plantation FL Hawks Landing FL Heritage Harbour Bradenton FL Heritage Harbour Land o Lakes FL Heritage Isles FL Highlands Reserve FL lake Jovita North FL Lake Jovita South FL Lexington Oaks FL Links at Greenfield Plantation FL Links of Lake Bernadette FL Links of Sandpiper Lakeland FL Northdale FL Plantation Palms FL River Hills FL Rocky Point FL Rogers FL Saddlebrook- Plamer FL Saddlebrook- Saddlebrook FL Sandpiper Lakeland FL Sandpiper Suncity FL Scepter Golf Club Falcon FL Shalamar FL Seminole Lake Country Club FL Silver Dollar FL Silverado FL Streamsong Red FL Sugarmill Woods Cypress FL Sugarmill Woods Pine FL Summerfield FL Temple Terrace FL Waterlefe FL Wentworth FL Westchase FL World Woods Pine Barrons IN Rock Hollow MI Ravines NH Brookside
    • Shoot, forgot to post for day 20:  hit a couple of buckets at the range just focusing on form.     Day 21:  putting practice in the garage gaging my speed/distance.
