I took a list of recommended drivers from the near past to some shops to see what I could find (2nd hand or at a nice sale price). G30 was still a bit pricy, but G25 could be found at nice prices. In the past I was quite fond of Cobra aswell (S2 and S3), but got lost when they introduced new models Amp Cell, Bio Cell, Fly-Z, 6, 7 and 8. I heard many positive remarks on the Fly-Z .... still looking for a good one, but how about the Bio Cell (not the +) ..... I have seen a nice one for a nice price and it is near new.

Cheers, Gerald.

I hit Cobra woods and drivers. Have a Ping G but I push it to the right for some reason, (yes I know it is me not the driver). I have heard good things about the Bio Cell although I have never hit it. What I do know is when the older clubs first came on the market they were the greatest thing since sliced bread. If you are finding the clubs in a store, versus Ebay, I assume you can hit them. Which one works best for you and fits your eye? They are all good drivers.

One of my golf partners uses a Cobra Bio Cell driver and loves it.   Although...another of our foursome got a M2 for Christmas and he's ready to follow suit and buy one.

I find Cobra drivers come down in price faster than other brands.  You only have to go one or two generations back to find one in excellent condition for around $100.  Ping and Titleist come down the slowest.  I’m using a Cobra driver right now and it’s just as good as anything else I’ve ever hit.  If you’re shopping for used drivers, I’d put Cobra near the top.

I second this, Titleist drivers tend to hold their value really well.

The Titleist 915 series can be found at attractive prices. This is one generation prior to the current. I bought one last summer new for $190.

Well I bought that BioCell driver. Drives are strong and near straight, but that I have with all "new" drivers .... I still have to find optimum settings for my swing but I hit a few hitting the net at the end of our driving range which is at about 250 yds.

I just got a 915D3  from global golf for $150.. it came with a Misubishi Diamana Red 50 g shaft. that would cost $300 by itself at Golfworks to replace. i can't find any thing wrong with it. The grip was even still in good shape.
