It's called a push. The face is open and the path matches it.

You may be aiming further right than you think, for one. You may also be hitting a shank.

Most people that don't have an alignment routine will line their feet up with the target instead of aiming the ball to the target and setting feet up parallel to that line.....then consistently miss to the right.

Draw a line through the ball at the toe (lay down a straight stick or a club).  Then address the ball and make sure your toes are parallel to that line.  THEN, look up at the target - if that picture "feels" like you are aiming way left, then you just might be one of those people.

If not, post a swing thread - maybe something is happening there.

Aim left 😉

But yea, like @iacas mentioned, you could be hitting a push or you might just be lined up farther right than you think you are. You need to figure out which.

You can lay the club you are using on the ground to help line you up before you hit a shot on the course. A pro told me to do this a long time ago and I should start doing it again because I still have the same problem.

If you know you're lined up at your target and you still hit it right, it's a push.

As others have said, alignment can be tricky. You can think you're lined up on target, but in fact, you are aimed to the right! I once saw a vid from some on-line golf gurus who held a clinic somewhere. There were 11 amateurs in the school and the instructors said that they were 100% right. That is, every one of them lined up aimed to the right!

And it's not just longer shots. My buddy does the same thing on putts! Have a buddy check you to see where you are REALLY aiming, not just where you think you are.
