Tommy Fleetwood who is in his 50's and played in some Challenge Tour events on the European Tour had $154,000 accidentally deposited in his bank account. A screenshot of his phone shows the entry as well as one for a $75 caddie fee. He works at the Streamsong Resort in Florida. The money was actually earned by England's Tommy Fleetwood for coming in 12th at the Open, who did not know anything about it as his wife manages the money.

Of course he will, and it's hardly enough money to do a runner to Mexico with.

I didn't believe this story at all at first. It takes a little more than a name mix-up to deposit money into the wrong account. The other Fleetwood playing on the challenge tour made it click. That must have been quite the shock when he opened up his bank account and saw the balance!

Same thing happened to me. I deposited a large sum of money into my personal account. This at the same bank my Dad banked at.

We we're moving at the time, and I wrote several checks for furnishings for the new place.

A few days later I started getting nasty letters from the bank for being severely over drawn. Right after that the furniture company showed up wanting their furniture back. It was a mess.

Went to the bank with my deposit slip, who still maintained it was my mistake.

After few choice words aimed at the branch manager, the mistake was found. They had deposited the money into my Father's account.

It took a couple weeks more to get all the credit problems squared away.

I think it is amazing how international wire transfers can still be done 'manually'.

    • Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.
    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
