I'm definately a mallet kinda guy. I've been using an Odyssey 2 ball XG for the last 2 years and love it. I keep trying blades in the store that feel great, and once I buy them, I'm awful with them on a real green. I prefer the look of a blade, but mallet works best for me!

I have tried using the mallet after a couple of years using the blade and it was hard to control the speed. I love my blade but trying to adjust to the mallet :) but so far the blade is my choice.

My experience mirrors yours: I use a mallet, I like the anser style blade, but I putt better with a mallet; so, mallet it is.

I use a mallet, and have for a loooooong time, but I just got my Studio Select or Studio Style or whatever it's called, and dang it, I'm thinking about changing. I'll give this putter a try over the weekend when I'm in North Carolina - that's for sure.

Black Series i #9. I voted mallet although I think the "Phil Mickelson" style is called a half-mallet. I used to play blade Scottys.

I think blade vs mallet is about feel with the player. I for example favor blade putters because they are a little lighter usually and that mallets tend to steer your stroke more. I think its easier to make a smooth stroke with a blade and is easier to keep the club "under your hands"..so to speak because their is not as much weight flying around.

do you like the no insert face on that better than the studio style GSS insert?

i always get a putter that looks good at address, and i like the classic blade style.

I love the two balls and the scotty cameron newports--both styles are fabulous--but i do prefer a blade

"People think the size of the head is most important. Wrong. It's getting a quality shaft. test different shafts to see which goes the straightest. Also, more degrees of loft on the head is better than less. Eleven degrees is about right."

I play a white hot #5 and a YES Marilyn. I also have a SC Circa62#2. The Circa feels to light for me. I prefer a mallet.....

I like the blade much more than the mallet because it isnt as much to look down at and for some reason i have better aming and speed

I had always been a blade guy until I came across the B3-M Heavy Putter. I tried almost all of their models including the blades but something about that model just seemed to fit my eye. It's the first mallet putter I've ever owned and I love it!!

Normally a blade style but without a lot of offset but I keep going back to the Odyssey White Hot #5 for many reasons, alignment, roll, distance control, confidence - on both slow and super fast greens. For all these reasons I really like it.

I have always liked simple putters , never liked the 2 or 3 balls or the ping craze type putters but last week i tried the odyysey sabertooth just for a bit of fun and because it looks ridiculous and wow i think i want one... has great weight and feel is almost impossible to twist on the back swing and very hard to push a putt right too (which is my usual problem) i swore id never get an odd shaped putter but hey if it improves your game then why not... has anyone else tried one?

i prefer the blade putter which brings me to the point... recently i've broke a putter that my dad left me cuz i was stupid enough to actually go play with it, its a wooden putter by this company called P.J. Zeitlin & Co. LTD, does anyone know or heard of this brand? And also can someone give me some suggestion on how i can get it fixed? Thanks.

I use a Tom Slighter custom made putter that combines the best of both worlds : it´s a blade putter weighting 360 gr for great MOI and forgiveness.

I currently use blade but will be moving on to a mallet putter. However, I prefer mallets that are not too bulky, for example Ping Piper, SC Red X3, Ping 1/2 crazy, Marxman Mini, Yes! Hanna etc...

I like blade putters more than mallets. They look better to me. Besides, I haven't seen a mallet putter that you can use to flip the ball into the air like you can with a blade.
