Played 9 holes today and started out pretty good (for me) w/ 5 bogies in a row, then doubled the last four. Still, not a bad round.

Last week I picked up a stand bag w/ 7 slots. So 7 clubs: Driver, 2h, 5i, 7i, 9i, Sw and putter. Now, the bermuda hasn't started growing yet, so this could change. Also, I'm an old fart so, I don't play long courses. -

My only thought right now, if I remember, is slow on the backswing. My sequencing gets off if I go too fast. Only one problem with that, I sometimes (like, almost always) forget.

You're correct, the three iron has been fazed out, but only because the lofts have been adjusted by the OMs, to get more distance. Depending on what irons you like and what year they were made, you might want to check out the lofts (you can do that on the OM's web site). And welcome to TST.

I'm using a 14* Nickent 4DX w/Proforce V2 R shaft, comfortable to 200 yds, and a 1st gen. nike covert, set at 19* and a KK stiff, 170 yds. ,to fill the gap to 23* 5 iron

@LihuI don't mean to hijack this thread, but the driver is a covert, so a pre tini shaft, and closing the club face has helped a lot.

You're right, I'm changing my preshot routine to slow down my back swing, get things set, "in sync" for the downswing. Absolutely, I'm using the Kuro Kage S shaft that came stock, haven't been fit for anything stiff in a while.
