Is any golf announcer worse than Inga?

I have not watched The Golf Channel (or "Golf Channel" since they have dropped the "the") in a while, and now I remember why I stayed away. "Golf Central" was on, and as soon as I heard that voice, I had instant recall. Inga Hammond drives me "up a tree". Her voice, her tendency to laugh at almost anything, her commentary that consists of cliches, etc. make it clear---"Inga, I know Jennifer Mills and Dottie Pepper, and YOU, dear Inga, are NO Jennifer and NO Dottie". She is better than Megan West (remember her?), but that is like saying that finishing second to last is good because it is NOT last place.

I agree; seems so fake and her 'chuckles' all the time are so annoying. Plus, if she gets any more plastic surgery, her eyes will be on the back of her head

I think overall the Golf Channel needs to do an overhaul of their announcers and bring in some fresh blood. I'd like to see Inga go, along with Rich Lerner, Craig Kann, Ted Tryba and Kelly Tilghman. I like Vince Cellini and Steve Sands, and would like to see more of Jerry Foltz, Tom Abbott, Todd Lewis, Iain Page, Mike Ritz and Curt Byrum. My $.02.....

I do like Frank Nobilo and Brandel Chamblee. I used to enjoy reading Tim Rosaforte's articles, but I do NOT like watching him on The Golf Channel. Like many people, I miss the professionalism of Jennifer Mills and the interviews done by Peter Kessler (can any one believe that he has been gone from TGC since 2001?). I still have many tapes of Kessler's great interviews with The King, Jack, Gary, Payne Stewart, Slammin' Sammy Snead, Lee Trevino, The Shark, Nick Faldo, Tiger, and many others.

I don't pay much mind to the announcers to be honest. I think she's kinda hot though, there is something about any attractive female who plays golf. Gotta love 'em. Plus I figure if I can listen to Johnny "The Horses Ass" Miller, I can tolerate ANYBODY!

McCarver is on the list for Top Five---- Worst Sports Announcers. Dick Vitale has been there, as well.
