Ok, so I've got a $20.00 rewards certificate for Golf Galaxy, and since I don't need anything else from there, I figured I'd get a dozen balls. Right now I' playing the e7+ and liking it, and will keep playing it, but I'm also gonna get some cheaper balls 20 bucks or less. Right now I'm thinking top flite gamer, but let me hear all of your suggestions. Basically, I want the most spin I can get for 20 bucks or less. Let's hear your suggestions.

I don't think it's really a contest if you want the most spin for less than $20-it's the TF Gamer. My personal experience with the ball and objective testing from Golf Digest both back that up (pun intended). I also recommend the TF D2 Feel, lots of spin, plenty of distance, and feels great off the putter. $15 for 15 balls.

I like the Maxfli balls listed on their website in the $10-20 section, but I love the Maxfli Revolution Distance. It's plenty long and soft enough that a well struck shot with my 5 iron will shave a little off the cover. Not a scuff so much as a shaving.

Being a Fred Couples fan, I started playing Maxfli when he did a few years back and have stayed hooked on them ever since. In a casual round at a course that's not overly long, I play the Maxfli exclusively. Although I also play the Callaway Warbird when distance is an issue and the Callaway HX Tour on my home course at times because it's pretty short and the greens are rock hard and fast.

If I could only play one ball, however, I would play the Revolution Distance. Dick's had a double dozen for $24 earlier this year and I thought each box was one dozen. I sent my son over to get two boxes and each was two dozen so I ended up with a bunch of them, and couldn't be happier with my mistake.

Being a gimp, I can't hit really hard golf balls, which is why I only play the Warbird sometimes. Even though it isn't overly hard, it's too much for my reconstructed neck at times. When that shock of a mishit is transmitted up my arms to my neck, it can take me out of the game for weeks at a time. So, I found the Maxfil which is very soft, and very long.

When combined with the shovels I play, almost no shock gets through with the Maxfli and the soft HX Tour is never an issue.

I heard somewhere that Maxfil balls are made by Taylor Made so this might be a renamed version of one of their products. I'm not sure though, maybe someone else here knows.

Do you want to back the ball up, hit a knockdown that stops on a dime, and put a new ball in play every 9 holes because the cover is falling off? Then the Top Flite Gamer is for you!

Alternatively, try the Top Flite Feel or Wilson Eco-Core - more durable and at least average performance, which by 2009 standards is pretty good.

For 20 bones, the Gamer has good short game feel and durability. The D2 Feel is a bit cheaper for about the same performance. I thought the D2 was a little harder around the greens. Just me though.
