I have a chance to play Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Tx....however its 86$ plus tax for 18 with a cart....theres another course in Laredo but it is in TERRIBLE shape...dirt fairways, terrible greens...25$ +tax with cart....played it twice and its not even worth 25$.....thinking of playing the private country club for 86$...just be nice to play a good course since theres 3 feet of snow where im from right now lol

40 euro (60 dollars) is the most I've paid.
I went with a society at play Lahinch. It's normally 100 euro to play but they were doing a special offer since there was a lot of us going out.
Worth every penny. I'd have paid more if I had to.

I can certainly sympathize with the snow comment. The most I have paid to play was Glen Abbey and TPC Myrtle Beach. I believe the Abbey was about 250 and the TPC course was about the same as when I played it our Monopoly money wasn't worth much green back. I am seriously contemplating playing TCP Sawgrass in a couple of weeks while I am down in Florida. I think it's about $350-375.

$86 isn't really that much to play a nice course. There are a couple of courses here I have paid $100 to play. But I guess it's all relative as to how much you have to spend.

115.00 at Wolf Creek in November, their 11:30AM Twilight rate. Worth every penny! I typically shoot for under 30.00 in the Orlando area though.

I payed about $150 to play a resort course in Costa Rica. It was a really nice course, plus a cart and rental clubs were included, plus there weren't many other courses around. I would pay more than that to play any of these courses.

I'm a cheap golfer, so most of the time I'm looking for coupons and other deals. As for the question, I would say $69 at this course (that was with $20 off). It's a nice course and was pretty tough (I think I shot 84 or 85). Most courses I play for $35-45 including discounts (usually play mornings) -- that's about as cheap as you can get around here unless you want to drive 45 minutes west. Some of the other nice courses I've played have been part of some golf vacation package, so I don't know the normal rates.

I just remembered, I played in Hawaii when out there for work 7 years ago or so. It was about $125 (plus another $25 for club rental of some nice Callaways), but my boss picked up the tab. :) That course was one of the toughest I've ever played, but had some of the most gorgeous holes I've even seen. I just looked it up: here. Haha... googling a little more, this beast is rated as one of the toughest in the U.S (152 slope from the tips!). All I can remember was getting a par 5 on the ridiculously difficult 18th (two 200+ yard carries over this ravine) with 3 great shots and a 2-putt from 8 feet to shoot 99 (and I thought I was playing pretty well). So many lost balls... if you hit it in the rough, it seemed like a 50/50 chance that you'd actually find it (never mind hitting it in the jungle). Quite humbling...

I once paid a shade over $100 to play Karsten Creek. Very sweet course.

I payed $500 to play the Wynn Golf Course in Vegas... I hit a slot for 18K the night before so I felt ok doing it ;) . Short course but uber luxury, impeccable shape and great caddie.

$80 is the highest. Don't have that many expensive courses where I live. Got some on the other side of the country, but yeah, it's on the other side of the country.

$500 for 18 holes, that is like two brand new, high tier drivers.

$500 for Cascata in Henderson, NV. Not worth it.

One of these days I will gladly pay the $500 for Pebble Beach, but that is a few years off.

I paid $60 to play a practice round for districts. It's an alright course, but there wasn't a junior fee, so I was pissed.

I get a lot of discounts since I'm a minor.

$235 for Aviara in Carlsbad, CA - that was during the 2007 US Open, so not sure if the Four Seasons had some price gouging going on...
