Prizes will include:

  • Sand Trap Money Clamp (silver or black, winner's choice) and wallet.
  • Sand Trap ball markers (wooo! :-D)
  • A pair of TRUE Tour shoes in the color/style of the winner's choosing ( truelinkswear.com ).

I'd have rounded up some better prizes but, well, it's Tuesday and I leave Thursday morning, and I just now had this idea. :-D These prizes are available to anyone in the U.S. or Canada simply for reasons of shipping costs... International contestants can enter and I'll try to find a "software" or "Internet" way to give you a prize if you win.

So here's the deal. We did something like this last year...

Dave's playing in the National Club Pro. The official title is something else... the PGA Professional National Championship or something. The website is here: http://www.pga.com/nationalchampionship/2011/ .

The field is 312 players, and is cut to the top 70 (and ties, I think, but I'm not certain) after two rounds. One each on the East and West course at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, PA. http://www.hersheycountryclub.com/  The final two rounds are played on the East course. They used to have a Nationwide Tour event there if you want to use that to help judge some of the scores...

The top 20 finishers (no ties) qualify to play in the PGA Championship.

So here's the deal...

The first person to predict Dave's score - his total number of strokes, not the number relative to par - will win.

This is tricky because you have to consider: will Dave make the cut (he did and finished T51 IIRC last year), and if he does, where will he finish?

Good luck. Entries must be submitted by the end of the day this Saturday. The forum keeps track of any and all edits made to posts, so we'll know what you originally posted. If you enter twice, all of your entries are invalid.

Please read the rules - "the total number of strokes, not the number relative to par. Reason being "-2" might miss the cut or -2 could make the cut, so by saying that you're giving yourself two chances to win. Edit your previous entry to specify a number of strokes.

Yeah. Like I said, total number of strokes. If he shoots 68 and 68 and MCs you'd win if you said 136.

I assume you have to get it right on the number.

I will go with 293.

Erik,
Quick question, obviously we're going to have some double posts of numbers (see below)...if Dave in fact did shoot a 292, who gets precedent?

Further, does a double 292 beat a 293?  I wanted to vote 292 but didnt because it was already taken.

Emphasis added.

I have no idea what the question below means. If you guess a number someone else guessed you effectively wasted your vote.
