Been watching the Irish Open. Jeev Milkha Singh takes it way outside, then just as you expect him to super loop it back for an in to out Furyk he takes it way out to in on the downswing. To add to the weirdness, he has straight legs at address, then flexed at impact. It's like a bizarro-world golf swing. I'm amazed how well he plays with this motion. What are you talking about ?!?!?!? No such thing as a push draw... I think you are referring to a push-hook or shoestring hook.

Uh... no. Stock shot for S&T; is a push-draw.

I'm not sure what this has to do with the topic at hand, though, so let's get back to that, okay?

I thought it was a push-hook or shoestring hook. I'm left handed and my ball flight starts out left of my target line and hooks back in. Well, ok... I guess draws back in makes more sense. I really need to buy the book so I can understand the terminology...

I remember watching the Villegas brothers on a Playing Lessons and they were asking Manuel about the fact that many believe his swing is superior to Camillo's....his response was...."I think the golf swing is very overrated"

That, my friends, is some very interesting food for thought.

Did he mean his brothers or the golf swing in general?  If he's talking about the golf swing in general: mind = blown

Tommy Gainey

I know. Look at how rotated he is at impact. He holds a flying wedge for a long time on the follow through.

Kostis likes to say "Gamecocks". Gainey's swing is like a more powerful version of the Furyk. Gainey starts moving his hips forward so early in the backswing (around P2.5), and as you mentioned, holds the flying wedge really well.
