Here is the thread to discuss the upcoming 2012 PGA season.

I'd like to see Rory play more in the US and see if he can have a great season. Dustin Johnson should be a multiple winner. I see Tiger having a great chance to win another Masters and compete in most of the majors, especially the Open Championship.

If Tiger is gonna win any major, it will be The Masters.

Rory will probably win one too.

I am looking forward to seeing Danny Lee this season after having a solid Nationwide tour season.

We're giving one player's upcoming PGA Tour season the same status as the rest of the PGA Tour season? All the players and events (including the ones he doesn't enter?) are approximately as interesting as what Tiger does? Wake me when it's over.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

What gave you that idea?

I am also looking forward to seeing Danny Lee this season.  He is looking like a young star on the rise.

2 Majors between Rory, Tiger, Luke and Lee. The other two will be won by (relatively) unknown players.

And I think the Europeans are going to lose a bit (in the OWGR) and the Americans to win a bit more.

USA is going to win the Ryder Cup back.

I changed it. It's dumb - and I agree - that the original title and thus the original topic was somewhat silly.

Someone should start - if there isn't already (I think there is) - a thread about the PGA Tour in 2012.

I'd change the thread title if I had the option to edit my post. Actually I thought my original title was more inclusive. Either I am wrong or someone edited it. The thread (and my OP) is meant to discuss the 2012 US PGA tour in general. If you don't want to participate, that's fine with me.

Personally, what i saw from Tiger was encouraging.  He was looking more confident than he has in 2 years.  He was snipping his irons, but most importantly he was draining putts when he needed too...classic Tiger.  (and he was having fun! I even saw a little smile as he pulled the ball out of the hole on 18, which usually doesnt happen...)

I am very excited to see what Tiger's got in store for us next year. Bottom line, he is Tiger Woods, and he will never forget how to play the game of golf.  He will never dominate like he did, but neither will anyone for a hundread years.  Im not saying the old Tiger is back, but i am saying he will win 2 MAJORS next year....yeah i said it!

Erik, if you don't like my thread, just delete the damn thing. How rude, changing my title. It was meant to be a discussion of the 2012 tour not just Tiger. Holy cow.

With all due respect, no. Why? For this reason:

Your thread title was something like "Tiger in 2012 and PGA season in 2012". As sean_miller said, you created a thread for two separate topics. I've made the thread about one topic, and the topic I chose was due to the fact that we already had a 2012 PGA Tour season thread.

That's a fantasy topic and hadn't been responded to in a week. My thread was in response to a request on the Chevron thread.

It's a thread about the 2012 season, this is what Erik wrote and what you said you started, not about the upcoming season

Again the thread for the upcoming season is http://thesandtrap.com/t/54326/2012-pga-tour-discussion-thread

To this topic, it was great seeing Tiger win but the practice swings got me a little worried.  How long before that turns into swinging too far left, hips not going forward enough, head going too far forward.  Those two effect the ability to create Axis Tilt .  Foley will have to closely monitor it the next few months.  And we know from history that Tiger change change the picture.

Just block everyone except Franky and you have one.

He is great reading because he makes really shrewd and detailed observations that you'd never know otherwise, such as:

Tiger plays well when he has confidence.

Tiger hasn't been playing well until now.

Tournaments are interesting when good players play in them. Even better when Tiger wins.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

That's not the thread Erik pasted above. Sorry for creating another topic on this. I should have searched first.
