Come on...don't just itemise a list of demands like this in shorthand.

You can see how much drivers cost.

Most people will use theirs bewteen 10 and 14 times around.

There is a variety of handicaps and skill levels out there.

Just about every brand is in play.

I have been out of the game a long time (over a decade), and I just put the questions out there to get a feel of what people were playing and what thier thoughts were generally in respect of their drivers. NO offence  - it's just that you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar!

I personally like my Adams 9064LS, but also have an R11 which I have to admit is pretty solid.

But that information won't help anyone else.

Pretty much any TaylorMade driver from the last 5 or 6 years will probably work for you - as long as you have the right shaft.

Maybe even try a Titleist 905T or S - slightly smaller heads than current 460cc drivers.

2. how many times in a round do you use your driver; Basically on 14 holes, I'm not as long as I used to be, so I rarely hit a 3 wood off the tee anymore

3. how much did the driver cost; I bought my driver right after TaylorMade announced the R11, don't remember the exact cost but less than $200.  I've done this with a lot of my golf equipment, I buy one generation old and save quite a bit of money from original cost.

4. do you believe you are getting value for money from your driver?  I believe I am, I know this driver is better than the TaylorMade Burner that I had previously, and I believe the TaylorMade Burner was better than the Callaway Big Bertha I had before that, so all in all I believe every time I upgrade I get a value.

3. Depends.  If I play off the blue (6600-6800 yds) about 4-6 times, if I play the back (6900-7300 yds) 9-10 times.  As you can see, length is not my problem.  It's 6 inches between the ears that is the problem.

PING G10 purchased new (Golf Town) and since re-shafted (stock was pretty good too though). a Callaway X-Tour with AD-Tour something or other purchased from 3-Balls and it appeared to be unhit, and a Mizuno MP600 purchased from Play It Again Sports - great stock shaft, new ND grip, and hit maybe a handful of times

3. 5-8 times per round on my home course. Never more than ~ 10 times and sometimes only once or twice. It's not a confidence issue - it's a running out of wide fairway issue.

Mizuno - ~ $70

I use my driver quite a bit, I like to be big off the tee.

The Burner 2.0 was 299.99 in its day, and the titleist was 399.99
 

I switch between drivers depending on the distance of the course. If the course is fairly long and straight I play the TaylorMade if it is shorter or has a lot of twists and turns I feel like I have a slight bit more control with the Titleist. I love these choices and they are great fits for me.
