What do you think happens with Bubba from here?

What do you think happens for Bubba from here on? How many more wins do you think he will get? How many more majors?

How about Louis?

Read one tweet that said Bubba is like John Daly without the booze, smoking and women.... I think he will have some serious new deals.... As for the golf, I think it seemed like he is one of those players that once he gets over the initial hump of winning, he will get more comfortable out there.

I wasn't a huge Bubba fan, then saw his interview on Feherty last week and it changed my opinion of him. I was glad to see him win... I think it speaks volumes at the number of players who came to the green to congratulate him; never seen that before.

As for Louis, I think he will continue to rise. I could watch that guy's swing all day long....

I love watching Feherty. It is really cool to see the players, or other golf personalities, outside of the game. The episode with Bubba really changed my view of him. Before, I just thought he was a guy with a temper, and I wasn't the biggest fan of his. It wasn't that I didn't like the guy, I just wouldn't root for him. After watching the episode, I couldn't help but root for him. I'm glad he won, and I think he deserved it.

I also think Louis will start to rise. He's got a great swing, and seems to have his emotions in check. Who knows, this 2nd place finish could be the thing he needs to start winning regularly.

Same happened when Zach Johnson won.

I think Bubba and Louis are going to continue to contend in future tournaments.  I'm not sure how many more Majors they have in them, but I think they both demonstrated they have the skills to win big tournaments.

The guy I'm curious about is Phil, he wins this tournament if he pars instead of triple bogeys  #4.  I have to think he's going to feel like this was his to win given both Tiger and Rory were out of it.  Have to wonder about the decision to hit out of the bush rather than re-tee it.  I swore the ball hit him when they showed it live but I didn't see the replay to confirm.   Bones should have slowed him down, he seemed embarrassed and just wanted to rush through things rather than really consider the best option.  I'm happy for Bubba at least a lefty won.

I heard something in one of Bubba's interviews yesterday that amazed me. He was talking about adopting Caleb, and he mentioned how hard they had been working to do it, and had been turned down a couple times before. Did anybody else hear that? With all the kids in desperate need of adoption, how does a multi-millionaire, stable marriage, devout Christian couple get turned down a couple times?

Agreed, Feherty's interview completely changed my opinion of Bubba and I was a little surprised to see how many other players went onto the green to congratulate him.  I know Bubba is good friends with Crane, Fowler, etc., but you just do not see it very often, at least not on camera.  He is definitely an emotional guy!

I don't know the details but if they adopted an American child, it is an incredibly difficult and expensive process regardless of social and economic status.  This is why a lot of couples turn to foreign countries like Russia, and some events a couple of years ago made adopting from Russia much more difficult.

If my life was on the line and I had to guess a career path for Bubba, it would include a handful more PGA Tour wins (half-dozen, maybe 10) and he will probably contend for more majors, but if I had to guess I'd say he won't win another one. Similar for Louis.

I think Louis will end up with more majors than Watson. Louis is younger and his swing looks less prone to wildness. Louis hits the ball incredibly far for someone 5'10" 160lbs. Four iron from 260yds, are you kidding me? Louis was driving it nearly as far as Watson. Bubba: Lots of talent/ability has been close before (2010 PGA). If the rough isn't high and the wind isn't blowing, he might struggle. Also doesn't like different environments (British Open)

There are a lot of kids in need of adoptions. But most people do not want to adopt an 10 year old. They want an infant/toddler and there are very few of those.  Maybe the Mom wanted her kid to go to some doctor making 500k but is always home versus some red neck (take it in the best possible way) golfer who is on the road half the year. Without details we would just be guessing but it isn't unheard of for rich/relatively famous people to be turned down for infant adoption

I have a hard time seeing bubba as a top 5 in the world golfer (yeah I know he jumped to 4 after the win. Lets check back at the end of the season). To me he is more of a top 20 type guy who is good for a win or so every year, a buch of top 10s and a major or two over his career.  Now if he ever gets his putting to be slightly better, then I can see him being a guy that wins 3-4x a year and 4 or 5 majors.

To date Bubba claims to never had a lesson but I'm not sure that means he's never worked with a swing coach.  I wonder how much more can Bubba continue to improve on his own.  Other than putting could working with a swing coach provide him any benefit

On one hand I think that if he started to get a swing coach, he could get caught up in the changing and fundamentals of the swing, that he might lose what he has. One the other hand, a swing coach could really help him control some of those wild shots that he tends to have when bombing it down the fairway. Some guys try to change things, and they start to lose it. I'm curious as to what he will do about his putting though. Will he get a coach for that, or will he continue to improve on it by himself?

I would not be surprised if Louis had a more consistent career than Bubba. Bubba is the wild free swinging guy, Louis is the classic consistent guy. Phil and Luke are kind of the same. Phil can do more of the extraordinary stuff, while Luke plays solid and consistent golf most of the time. If Bubba got some sort of the talent Phil got, he will win more tournaments, but it may be on a more irregular basis. I believe it was a good thing for Bubba that he wasn't leading The Masters on Sunday. His swing can easily get messed up and he's suddenly spraying the ball all over the place. By coming from behind, he didn't have to face the same pressure and was chasing the leaders. It is mentally a better thought than having to avoid mistakes all day long and try to keep up with the guys that are coming from behind. That's just based on his earlier performances in such a position. It's no guarantee he will falter, you can't make guarantees in golf. Louis got 1 PGA win, 4 European Tour wins, 7 Sunshine Tour wins and one major. Bubba got 4 PGA wins, 2 other, one major. Both are good players that can stay around the top of the OWGR for some time and win the occasional event. But, like most that wins a major, it doesn't mean they suddenly become Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson. You can't really tell where any golfer is heading at any given time, the performances are always going up and down. As far as Louis and Bubba goes, they'll probably be two guys on tour that can win tournaments and contend in majors, but perhaps not become hall of famers.
