About those TRUE shoes...

I have both the 2011 and 2012 TRUE Tours and I found they run a half size smaller.  I take an 11 boot (and shoe) but a 10.5 TRUE Tour.  Not sure about the other models.  You'll find they are bigger in the toe box than you're used to, but that of course is the point. 

From my experience maybe 1/2 a size big... I normally wear 10.5 and that's what I wore in the 2011 versions of the shoes, in the newer versions I wear a 10. I probably could get away with a 10.5 but they'd be just a bit loose. If you are buying them in the store then no worries as you can try them on... if you order them online directly from TRUE they will exchange them if they don't fit properly as I am sure nearly any online retailer would.

With the True Tours - I went a half size smaller and am very pleased.  I have skinny feet - so that larger toe box made me think they would run large on my feet.  I was right, and the 8.5 fits nice compared to the regular 9 that I wear in other golf shoes (Nike, Adidas, Footjoy, Ecco).

I'm looking at ordering the Sensei, but may order those in a 9 because they look more traditional in size/shape.

Wouldn't that contradict what you are saying?  I think the True Tours run a half size larger than advertised.

You're right that was a little confusing.  I mixed comparing numbered size vs fit without really differentiating. Doesn't change the ultimate point though that you'll most likely want to buy a half size smaller than you normally wear.

They take returns/exchanges without an issue, too.

Did you find the Sensei ran 'true' to size?  Or do those run larger too - like the Tours?

I found the Sensei are the same as Tours and Stealth.  You can do what I did and go to a Golf Town, try on a pair, then order direct from True Linkswear. 

I wear Asics running shoes in 11.5 but the True Links in 11.  But I think it has to do more with the wider toe box with the True shoes.  I need a bit more length in the running shoe to account for the pointy toe box.

Really, that is interesting.  Because the Sensei doesn't look like it has that large toe box.

I will second this comment. I bought a pair of the PHX and because of my skinny foot those are about 1.5 smaller than the traditional shoes I get, I had to return them. TRUE was really great about it.  If I were to order a new pair of the tours (I have one at size 11) I might try 10.5 and return them if they were too small.

I hate all of this talk about 1/2 sizes.  Once you get past 12, it's usually impossible to find half sizes, and sasquatch over here (not the good golfing kind, the monkey kind)  wears 13's. :(

Hahahh I don't know what that says about the user base here if I'm pulling down awards!? LOL 

The Sensei toe box is not quite a wide, but it is flatter at the end than most shoes.  I use it for my shoes at the gym.  I think True could have used a better insert than they did.  But they are still very comfortable.

Yeah, that is what I was leaning toward using them for.  More for the gym until the courses dry out... I'm leaning toward the white version for Spring golf.
