Extra Distance Tees Are They All What Their Made Up To Be?

That's an illusion.   Unless you have a big wooden stake that is stopping your club to go through, your tee shot will not go any further due to what tee you are using.   Of course, tee companies beg to differ.   The brush tee company will claim you will get a few more yards by using their product.  That's their marketing dream.

If a tee gives you positive feelings, it works.  Don't look closely at the science.

Waste of money, effects are marginal at best.

I will say, if your launch angle is less than the angle of which the ball sits on the tee, the tee will interact with the ball. That will happen, you wont see a difference in ball flight, but all things being equal the numbers should show it. I believe a tee that is flatter on top will cause a ball that spins more because the ball isn't being resisted by the tee, and the ball will launch lower because the ball might not slide up the tee.

Of course.  I forget the big P effect.   But for me, it always wears off after a while.

I found a plastic one with the 3 prongs holding the ball up and used it nonstop for a couple weeks.  I eventually snapped the thing in half on a drive and I was like OH MY GOD I'M SUCH A BEAST!!11

Tees are tees.  If they hold the ball just above the ground for you, theyve done their job.  I remember back in the late '90s I used to play these tees called, "Velocitees" that were kind of angled forward and were claimed to eliminate a slice.  I can tell you that I still sliced the ball into the other fairway with them, they did look kind of cool though.

I tee up everything, typically just barely above the turf with everything but driver. I didn't "see" any "results" because IMO a tee is a tee. These days I use broken tees more than anything else.

I can't imagine the tee would have much bearing on your shot.  I always just use one that someone has left at the tee box.  Almost all of them are a basic wooden tee, so I guess not many golfers believe much in special tees.

I never buy tees, I pick them up as I play and always have enough it seems.

But to answer your question, no your tee isn't helping unless it's mental.

Unless someone invents a tee which shoots out a jet stream at 200 mph upon impact.   God knows we can all use extra boost on tee off.

It is a simple wooden/plastic device  that supports your golf ball off of the turf for approximately 30-45 seconds so you can hit a ball that is not in motion.

Nothing more...............,colour optional.

I snap plastic tees often with my driver. It just cuts through them and so cleanly too. It's annoying as I use plastic tees for a reason.
