2014 NFL Draft Tonight!

NFL Draft tonight baby! I will be one tired dude tomorrow. I've already got my 4 pack of Stone Ruination and Chipotle order ready. I also picked up a few AMP Energy drinks for tomorrow as well.

Johnny Football to Cleveland! Mark it down! Go Browns!

The Browns have 4 QB's on the roster, and Hoyer was playing well before being injured.  As a Browns fan myself, I would like to see them give Hoyer another shot and draft a weapon like Sammy Watkins or better protection in Taylor Lewan

If Watkins is there at 4 and Manziel is gone, take him without question. But, if Manziel slips to 4, you have to take that chance and take the kid. This draft is so deep that we can easily grab our O-line and WRs later on. Manziel makes things happen and I do think the hype is earned in his case. I don't think somebody like Bortles, Carr, Bridgewater, etc. is going to be a franchise QB in the NFL.

Plus, Hoyer will never be the same after that tear and surgery. Very, very rarely is an NFL player back to their previous level of mobility and strength after that type of injury. He can get back to "100%" but who knows what his new 100% will be. What type of long-term affects will that surgery have on him? If we pass on a potential franchise QB and Hoyer is hobbled, we go right back to a QB with no experience in Tanney and another borderline and washed up veteran in Young. This is why we definitely need to grab our franchise QB while we have the ammunition in picks to do it.

Don't forget that this draft is extremely deep too and more WRs and O-Line will be available later in the draft. This is probably one of the deepest drafts ever, at least that I can recall.

It's nice knowing he'll be sealed back in the carbonite for 10 months again starting next week.

I heard on the radio this morning that they are doing entrance or 'walk up" music that the player gets to pick once they are selected. Do you all like this idea?

I'm afraid we are going to be hearing a bunch of "i'm the man" by aloe blacc.

I think it's cool. The more of that "moment" that they can control, the better in my opinion. If they have a song that means something to them, play it. It's not like it's some lame WWE entrance or something with fan-fiving and fireworks and what not, so I'm good with it.

FWIW, mine would be "Red Solo Cup"

I think it should be pretty cool for the most part. I think mine would be "Simple Man" Lynard Skynyrd.

Ah, one of the best songs of all time and on my top 10. You should check out the cover by Shinedown if you have not ever heard it. They nailed it.

Nah, he'll have a 2015 mock up by Monday.

I'm just hoping the Bills don't mortgage the future to move up a few spots.  I'm afraid that with new owners on the way, the current group may go for broke.

I've been looking forward to today for months now.... Honestly, I've been going out of my mind lately because they pushed the draft back from it's usual April date.

Also, I've got my rotten vegetables ready to throw at the screen when the Jets draft a clown in round one. :-D

I saw a few mock drafts that had the Bills looking at a QB, which seemed insane to me. I think EJ Manuel has a chance to be really good if.

It seems like the consensus among Pats fans and local writers is that they'll end up taking a TE in the first round, but most national guys have them looking more towards the d-line and linebackers.

Frankly, I don't have a clue. It seems just as likely they'll take an o-lineman or even Teddy Bridgewater if he drops that far. (My guess is that he gets taken somewhere before 25 or so, but he's fallen so far recently, you never know.) I doubt they'll take a DB that high, and I don't think they'll take a WR or a RB before the third round or so, but aside from that it seems wide open.

EDIT: I actually just read a report that the Patriots are semi-close to a deal with the Texans that would send the Texans Ryan Mallett. I guess that makes sense, there were always rumors that O'Brian liked Mallett way more than Belichick. Maybe he's not the talent that some of the consensus top guys this year are, but he's got three years of sitting behind Brady under his belt, so that might mean something. That would give the Texans Clowney at number one and a new QB, and supposedly give the Patriots a late round pick and a reason to take a QB.

One of the many reasons how I know I'm not an NFL fan, just a Steelers fan: I couldn't care less about this. :)

I may read about who the Steelers draft later this week or something, but I don't care about any other teams for sure.

Haha, stop bringing a normal person's perspective into this :-D

Goodell is still obsessed with these awkward hugs, I see. Can't he just shake their hand? Come on, man.

Steelers picked up a BUCKEYE!!! Ryan Shazier, Linebacker. That is a great pick for their defense. He might not be the biggest linebacker, but he's FAST, he can rush the passer off the edge, and he's pretty good in coverage.

I'm with Erik.  I just check out who the Pats pickup.

Goodell has to get the hugs at the draft.  In a few months, the players that hugged him will want to deck him.

And so I am one happy guy in Cleveland today, as is the whole city! Johnny Football to C-Town! Hell yeah!

Not only that, but he's taken at 22 after a genius trade down+trade up scenario which netted us another 1st round pick in 2015. Ray Farmer is either a genius, or he had a leprechaun holding a horseshoe and a rabbit foot camping out in his sphincter.
