Trying to return to golf after  14-years, first thing that happens is a I believe torn or strained fore arm on the inside right arm.   This happened warming up the correct easy way.   I'm 69 years young even using ladies clubs a little short...started with 1/2 short irons after stretching a little.   when I went to a full swing shot the injury happened...hurt from then on...small bucket of balls and 18-holes I now have a black & blue slightly swollen area above the very painful injured arm.   question...should I stop golfing for a while see my doctor  or....keep hitting balls.......I heal fast and am in great shape for my age....played hockey and sold my surfboard at age 64....ONLY because my wife said your done!!!! after a head injury...LOL    🙂

It is really hard for even doctors to diagnose issues over the internet. I would recommend the typical RICE approach and if it doesn't feel better in a couple of days, see a doctor or NP. You could also wrap it when you do start up again to prevent recurrence.

From this non-doctor I'd say you have the best kind of golfer's elbow.  Strained muscle; not ligament or tendon damage.  Total rest, no golf for two weeks, then take a week to slowly start up again, first with putts and chips, then wedges, then irons, finally onto the driver.  Limit the number of balls you hit on the range.  The worst kind of golfer's elbow involves the UCL, just north of the crazy bone.

I'd be pretty concerned about what's causing the black/blue coloration.

Go see your doctor, or visit an ER. Better safe, than sorry.

My question would be, "Why in the Hell would you be posting this here?" I'm not a doctor, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express 6 months ago! With pain and discoloration, you should get yourself to a real doctor, pronto!
