I certainly understand the delay in getting your replacement club, but there is no excuse for the lack of communication.

Wednesday I talked to Patrick in Chicago.   He put me on hold for about 20 minutes to discuss the situation and said they would have a person build me a new club and have to me very quickly.      He stated that the reason Ryan (head guy) didn't return my call because he thought that somebody in Detroit would follow up.    Thursday I received a tracking number from Patrick.    Today I received my old 8 iron back.   It was repaired, not new but I guess that doesn't bother me too much.    They did not return my Game Golf tag.   I can tell it was the same grip because the silicone was still on the top of the grip.

You can make up your own mind about going to Club Champion but for me, their customer service was more than toxic.

Well, a major turn of events.

Monday I got a call from Patrick in Chicago.    Because of the lack of support from the guy in Detroit they offered to give me new club heads for my trouble.   I accepted their offer.   The club heads were delivered to Detroit and Andrew (new guy) called Thursday and offered to expedite the replacements.    I dropped them off Thursday and picked them up today (Friday).

I wasn't expecting anything more than the return of my 8 iron and really didn't deserve anything more but I'm thankful for the extra step they took to ensure my satisfaction.

I'm looking forward to trying them out this weekend.   I normally don't play the weekends but for new irons, I'll make an exception.

Saw you also posted this on another forum. Not sure with this one, but I know that numerous club fitters are on that site including CC fitters. Pretty sure your squeaky wheel got the grease (or the new heads) after posting about your escapade. Enjoy the sticks.

After the other posting is when I received a call from them.

Thanks.

No, I didn't ask.   I have a few extras.

Thanks.

OT, but as someone who has worked in service industries my entire life, this kind of stuff annoys me. Good customer service is something I have always strived for and it shouldn’t take this level of complaint and public exposure to receive it. Obnoxious customers that complain about every little thing to get the service they want on the other hand, of which I’m certain @dennyjones is not, I don’t respond well to.

Sucks that you had to go through all of this but I’m glad it worked out for you in the end.

    • Day 521 - 2026-03-06 Got some good work in for 15 minutes or so with someone overseeing. Downswing work.
    • Day 201 3-6 Wider backswing trying to blend it all together for a full swing. Not looking good yet.
    • Day 74 - 2026-03-06 Backswing work out back at the net. Slow.
    • Day 101: did a stack session. Worked on hands down in the mirror during breaks.
    • Got told off yesterday for doing full swings and full speed swings so went to the range this lunchtime and did some slow speed stuff and freezers. A few videos from my session.    First few are DTL then some FO This one is of me looking at the club on the way back. I think I get my arms lifting all the way back, not that you’d know because YouTube keeps glitching on me.    Second one is two slow backswings. This glitches the first one but the glitch looks like a pretty good position so I’ll live. Second one works. Then another swing back and hit. When I’m not watching or really focusing on it it seems that my upper arm doesn’t lift at first, rather stays roughly where it is and I add the lift at the end so the club comes a bit more inside. I think that’s what I’m going to focus on. This one glitches a bit too but it’s really just pausing. This shows the club coming a bit more inside but not as laid off at the top Then a couple of face on ones And lastly one smoothie and one freezer at normal speed  Quite happy with how this went. I can see my arms are better when I take it slower. Also while I’m still pitching my arms out it doesn’t seem to be as extreme as yesterday. Light at the end of the tunnel 🙂
