Love Hoegarden.   What's interesting is that when I was travelling in London, i noticed that it was on tap everywhere, and it kinda seemed like it was Europe's version of Budweiser (popular cheap beer).

I like trappist bear, with Chimay being my favorite.

Another vote for Yuengling from a foreigner. For our tastes the Coors, Bud, Miller is undrinkable.

We asked a barman in Columbia, SC to find us something other than the regular shite, stayed on the Yuengling all the way to New York, certainly pleased our hosts in Philly

Not a ton of choice down here due to a very concentrated market, but getting better.

For everyday swilling, I enjoy Windhoek Lager. At least it doesn't have corn in like most of the South African Breweries adjunct crap.

My local store has also started carrying the Sao Gabriel beers, which is good news 'cause they're damn delicious.

My favorite SA beer would have to be Robson's Durban Pale Ale, but it's bloody hard to find anywhere except Durban. Luckily my cousin lives there and brings a case down with him on any visit in return for a free round of golf.

Finally was able to find Troegs Nugget Nectar, it is amazing.  If you can find it I highly recommend you try it before it is out of season  They stop making it sometime in March so it is not going to be around much longer.

So many beers, so little time. Some of my favorites in no order are:

Rogue Yellow Snow

Two Hearted Ale

Stone Ruination

Stone IPA

Dogfish 60 minute

Nugget Nectar

Hopslam

Green Flash IPA

and many others.

For regular beers, I'll drink a Yuengling.

I finally tried Yuengling about 6 months ago after hearing a lot of great things about it.  It's a good beer, but it isn't the best lager I've had.  For the lager fans out there, you all need to try James Boag's if you haven't already.  I've tried a number of lagers the last few years, and it's still number one on my list.  Hoegaarden is still my favorite overall beer though, but James Boag's is a close second.

Another really good beer is Kwak.  It's pretty damn expensive, but it's well worth it.

I like all their beers, but my favourite is "1516".

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

Went through a Red Hook phase just now, after visiting their brewery outside Seattle.  Their ESB is solid, and the Long Hammer IPA is pretty good, too.

In the bag:
FT-iQ 10° driver, FT 21° neutral 3H
T-Zoid Forged 15° 3W, MX-23 4-PW
Harmonized 52° GW, Tom Watson 56° SW, X-Forged Vintage 60° LW

Yeah James Boag's is not a bad Aussie beer, I still prefer Weihenstephaner. More specifically the Hefe Weissbier.

    • Day 135: worked on putting bead for a while with the 2 cups drill.
    • Day 211 (29 Nov 24) - Friday men’s round albeit a solo foursome (temps in the 40’s, day after Thanksgiving and the average age closer to 75 - I’m a youngster at 65).  Interesting day of semi-solid play (8 of 18 GIR). Hit all four par threes in one (a first) - parred each; still had a couple 3 putt bogies; and blew up on 3 of the par 5’s (go figure)). The blow ups were some serious tree rattlers - amplifying how I got stupid and greedy instead of smart and content to just get back in the short stuff.
    • Day 60 - 2024-11-29 Got about 3.5' of snow today, so I was going to go to Golf Evolution, but… I only left the house to throw some snow. Instead, i checked out my putting stroke on HackMotion in the basement. Turns out… it's pretty good, and I'm very in touch with what I'm doing.
