I believe... we should get everybody's butt in a cart. As in, one cart for each and every golfer. That way, four decent players could go around in three hours or less, easily, instead of having to drive in circles looking for each other's balls. Just drive straight to your ball.

I believe... slow play will kill the game of golf.

I believe... there's too many draw bias clubs out there. My miss is already a duck-hook. Why make it worse? Instead of catering to the hackers who slice, get them a lesson instead.

I believe... hybrids are the most confusing invention since the multicolored sweater.

I believe ...that short game is the most important aspect of becoming a "great" golfer

I believe ...that handicap's can lead to biased opinions about the overall skill level of a golfer

I believe ...that the most important swing thought to have on the course is "TEMPO"

I believe ...that the course is for play. Adjustments and practice should be done at the range or putting green

I believe ...that practice is the only way to become a "great" golfer.

I believe ...that slow play is the biggest killer to a good round.

I believe ...that golf is the most beneficial game to Americas youth. It teachs responsibility, honesty, self-determination, and integrity to children who may not learn these qualities any other way.

I believe most pros have signed contracts with Satan.

I believe worm burners do not burn worms.

I believe Mulligan was a optimist.

I believe less than 1% of golfers know the proper definition of a foursome.

I believe most course marshalls are ex-Marine drill sargents who just like to pick on people.

I believe the comment "nice shot" is lame and could easily be replaced by a more descriptive statement or silence.

I believe the main objective of playing golf is to have fun; getting some sun and exercise are also admirable objectives.

I believe stric, anal-retentivet adherance to the rules and placing a great deal of emphasis on scoring well should be restricted to tournament play only.

I believe... that if you are in a hurry all the time, you are playing the wrong game

I believe... that there should be a lot more affordable municipal courses

I believe... that by October 2008 I will be solidly shooting in the mid to low 90's

I believe... that the personality and moods of those you play with affects your game for better or worse

I believe... I will be learning something new about this game for as long as I play

Good Thread

I believe....that being a good driver of the golfball is very nearly equal in importance to being a good putter.

I believe....regardless of how well you strike the ball, the lowest score still wins.

I believe....score is the only important stat, the rest exist only to help you lower your score.

I believe....that slow play is the worst problem golf has and it has yet to be properly addressed by anyone.

I believe....handicaps are a farce and rarely indicate a players actual potential.

I believe....sandbagging is the worst kid of cheating.

I believe....competition brings out true character.

I believe....golf is the greatest game there is.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I believe that every golfer should walk, if capable.
I believe that golf carts should not be made available if it's cart path, only.
I believe in allowing everyone to play through, no matter if you think you're playing fast.
I believe in ready play.
I believe you should not be playing $5 balls if you're going to spend 10 minutes looking for them.
I believe in taking my practice swings as long as I am out of my partner's line of vision.
I believe if you're lining up a two foot putt and it's your third attempt, you have some serious issues.
I believe the range is for practicing and the golf course for playing.
I believe that becoming a Sandtrap member has helped my game, tremendously.
I believe in saying "Thank you" to all of those that have helped me. There are too many to single out.
I believe in proper attire, 2 3/4 inch tees, blades and stepless shafts.

I believe ... that driver distance is overrated.

I believe ... that development golfing communities are destroying the game.

I believe that people who yell out "get in the hole" at tournaments should be escorted form the course.

I believe that water on the left hand side of the 18th is becoming a cliche.

I believe that Adam Scott has the best swing on tour.

I believe that there are many golfers who use Pro V1s and are wasting their money.

I believe that there is no better place to be than on the golf course on an Autumn morning.

I believe that a lot of golfers need to recognise their limitations and enjoy the game for what it is.

I believe that the average golfer who has never actually seen in the flesh, a top pro playing has no conception of how good the pros are.

I believe that anyone who wasn't around to see Greg Norman in his prime missed seeing probably the most gifted player ever to swing a club.

I believe that if you disagree with my last statement you never saw him. (Seeing him on TV doesn't count)

I believe that no matter how sentimental and syrupy Harvey Penick's books are, reading them will improve your game.

I believe... golf is a sport, and golfers are athletes.

I believe... that I will eventually be a single-digit handicap, but that doesn't mean I will be satisfied.

I believe... in non-mechanical, non-technical swing thoughts while actually playing a round.

I believe... I can knock 3 strokes off my game by just slightly improving my chipping and putting.

I believe... the internet has made me a better golfer and more knowledgeable about the game in general. The Sand Trap is a perfect example. Not to mention I've snagged some pretty good deals on golf clubs.

I believe... that since I am playing golf this afternoon, I probably won't get much accomplished today at work.

I Believe: I am new to this forum, and the reason I joined it is to enjoy golf at work.

I Believe: My biggest fear about the recession is not being able to play golf.

I Believe: I would be on the PGA Tour if I was consistent.

I Believe: I need to work more on my consistency.

I Believe: I just go the new GTA and I’m no longer upset it’s going to rain this weekend.

I Believe: Golf will be the end of me; I will continue to spend/waste time and money until I’m scratch.

I Believe: I believe the driver is the most important club in the bag, put the ball in play, the rest is par.

I Believe...Clubhead speed is generated by making a full shoulder turn and limited hip turn.

I Believe... Control is accomplished by maintaining balance and your ideal tempo throughout the swing.

I Believe...Golf tips are all too often a band aid fix that will cause more problems than they solve. Fundamentals are key.

I Believe...There are two basic (and broad) categories of swing: One Plane and Two Plane. Each have their own fundamentals that don't have much in common with the other.

I Believe...Golf equipment manufacturers and the mainstream golf publications have done a good job of convincing people they need "super game-improvement" golf clubs.

I Believe...These "super game-improvement" will not improve your game and will not make a terrible swing produce good results.

I Believe...Learning the game without an instructor has caused me to progress slowly, but allowed me to have a more complete understanding of my swing.

I Believe...I need to spend more practice time putting and chipping.

I Believe...I will half my handicap index again this year - contingent on the above

I Believe...Aiming left or right of the flag and curving the ball toward it will yield shorter putts on average than aiming at the stick.

I Believe...A lot of greens fees need to be lower and courses browner.

I Believe: My last law school exam EVER is sitting right here next to me just waiting for some attention.

I Believe: I will be playing golf by 1:00 today... which will be my 20th round this year.

I believe you should be walking to play this sport. If you have some physical handicap or limitation, then by all means use a cart.
I believe the ball should be played as it lies.
I believe practice is good for you. Lots of it.

    • They are Still in the box. lol    Maxfli softfli is the specific name. I hate hitting a ball that has anything solid or like hitting a rock. In the past (a few seasons ago) I remember using maxfli but they scuffed easily. So I went with a more expensive albeit “soft” ball.  With the maxfli purchase ,off season, I. got over a hundred balls for eighty bucks so I figure what the hell.
    • I’ll break this down by weather. Raining, I use to be worse because my swing was very steep and you need to be very accurate. Now that my swing is shallower I can pick it more. Windy, I struggle a bit because I hit the ball higher. I struggle to flight shots. Windy days benefit better ball strikers because it amplifies curve. I rather play in the hot versus cold. I hate golfing with a ton of layers on. I can handle heat pretty well.
    • Dry-weather golfer is probably the most appropriate for me.  I will tolerate a little bit of light rain, but as soon as soaking occurs I'm out.  Temperature-wise, I'll play in anything from 40 to 95. Significant wind might bump that lower end up 5 or so degrees.
