Right now i'm just working on using my wrist more in my swing instead of a Slap Shot (i used to play hockey for a long time)

Tomorrow's gonna be a long day at the Range, 10$ for unlimited ball on Mondays, gonna practice my 85% swing irons and 30-70 pitches :)

I'm not getting my balls close enough to make the put and its ruining my score and keeping me from breaking 90

Moving my hips laterally on the downswing.

Lag Putting.

Bunker Play.

Approach shots.

A quote from Kris
...is that college bball really isn't "lower tier". The better teams have their rosters filled with guys who could play in the NBA. hell, guys used to come straight from high school to the NBA. I really don't think there's much of a difference skill-wise between the two.

My grip.
I am inconsistent at all distances. I am trying to focus on a proper grip because I think that is the root of my inconsistency. If I can get this under control, then I will hit longer and straighter.

Primarily working on:

- Flat left wrist throughout swing. Prevent myself from cupping it and creating a slice.
- Swing with the hips, not starting with the shoulders.
- Getting the arms closer to the body on the downswing. Prevent over the top and open clubface.

Working on my irons... I used to play them so well.. now I am pulling everything b/c of my closed stance. Trying to open up more to fix the problem. Also trying to strike the ball more crisp to get better distance and reduce hitting high.

Wll I had been working on the Stack and Tilt but felt something was missing even though I was hitting it pretty ding-dang good. Now I am working on the One Plane Cut Swing which is what I have been searching for. The Stack and Tilt with me I hit a draw and could not cut it or fade it I should say, I could hit the average block push but that is not what I wanted. So after I started working on the One Plane Cut I found out why I was having so much trouble hitting it left to right. The adjustments I made were rotating the club open, turning more into the inner right thigh, getting into my left leg later in the swing, and keeping the left knee from colapsing in on the back swing which keep me to much left and made me come over the top because of no load resistance. So far I am happy, I can hit a draw if I need to but like the fact that it AIN'T going left unless I want it too!

my set up. bent too much over at the waist, causing me to be too far from ball. i end up at proper angle at the top of my swing, but have to bend back foward on the downswing.

Picked up on something today that I've worked on earlier this year. It was pointed out to me at a swing check from TMO here on this site. One of the big problems with my swing is that I accelerate the arms when I'm turning in the backswing. This has contributed to a move over the top and reverse pivot. I've been working on weight shift, but didn't get the hang of it until I thought about my arms at the top. They really take off and throw my entire swing out of control. Especially with the longer clubs, since I usually take a shorter, more controlled swing with the shorter irons and wedges. Hit the few balls I had left on the range with driver, 5-wood and 6i, I was much more balanced and hit the ball great.

Got my irons and wedges lie adjusted 2º upright yesterday and noticed on the launch monitor that my club was coming a degree or two from the inside. I've been fighting a swing over the top for long, so it was wonderful to see that I've been able to rid myself of this habit. I still do it from time to time, especially with the driver, the cause being my speeding up at the top. The drives I hit had a slight draw, just what I want. When I get my backswing in order, I'll hopefully be racing towards single digits.

Balance.

I've just started playing again after 10 years off (I'm 28), and my focus is getting back to striking the ball consistently. I'm using the good old feet-together drill, trying for a clean impact and staying in control all the way through the swing.

After a couple of hours at the range every day this weekend, everything hurts. I'm getting old

Eliminating disaster shots--I have at least 2 shots every round that are push slices or pull hooks ending up quite a bit off target. It's purely mental, usually happens when I hit the ball without committing to the shot beforehand, and I know what to do to get rid of these shots....but just can't. At this point I think it is the easiest way for me to cut shots off my scores, since I probably waste away at least 3 shots/round because of these swingtastrophes.

Same here. It's frustrating hitting good drives and a pitch to 6 feet and miss putts. Lately I've been hitting more and more GIR/round but missing too many of those makeable putts. The one that hurt most was a 12 footer that I pulled way off line for an eagle.
