My 5 iron. I can just hit it without thinking... actually without worrying. It goes about the same distance everytime and usually exactly where I want it to... just working on the other 13 clubs in my bag now.

I like all my irons, but my new 4H Hibore XLS 22* is my favorite right now. I like my Mibore XLS driver, but like was said earlier, it does not always like me. I have not played a round with the putter in my bag, but it does well on the practice green.

In my bag are
Hibore XLS 10.5*
Hibore XLS 22* 3i Hybrid
TA7 irons 3-PW, SW
CG11 60* LW VP #5 putter.

my 54, i can honestly hit any shot within 100 yards with it. Its so versitle, and has amazing control. I have learned to hit different chips wit alot of spin, or little spin.

Right now, it's a tie between my driver and putter. I think it could be because they are the newest clubs in my bag, but I am striking the ball better with these two than before. I went from the GBB II and Odyssey 2-Ball to a HiBore XLS and Cleveland Classic Blade. My swing has gotten slower and more "fluid" and the Hibore w/regular shaft fits it very well. My arc putting stroke has killed my 2-Ball for years, but due to sentimental value(my now passed father-in-law gave it to me), I couldn't take it out of my bag. I still used it and tried to adjust my swing, but finally went back to a heel/toe blade.

In my  Warbird Hot stand bag:
nike.gif Dymo2 Str8 fit 10.5 or  HiBore XLS 10.5,  Steelhead Plus 3 and 5 woods,

 NP2 3H,  DCI 990 4-PW,  Forged + 54/12,  RAC 58/8,

Classic #1,  NXT Tour or  Burner TP

Right now Im getting along with all of my clubs except for the putter. Its just not working for me right now.
Hopefully I can get a deal on another Mizuno TPM off of Ebay and then I will be able to say that I like all the clubs in my bag.
Im hitting all my clubs pretty well right now (except for the putter), so I honestly dont think I could pick any single club that is my favorite.

My favorite club is my 3 wood, but I recently picked up a new 905R off of ebay it may have a chance to become my #1.

The 7 iron in my new set of irons is pure butter, I have yet to hit a bad shot with it (probably just cursed myself). It's also the only club I've gotten to spin back on the green from 125+. I'm not sure why I hit it so much better than every other iron, but there's definitely a difference.

right now, 3 wood.

Putter. I have more confidence with that club than with any other club in the bag. My tee to green game is improving with practice, but I'm still liable to cost myself a lot of strokes there.

    • $50??? You're not serious, I'm sure. The only thing a $50 driver will be good for is to whip your horse  as you're rounding the far turn heading into the home stretch. Seriously, go to a big box store. They all have used clubs up the wazoo and you should be able to find clubs at a reasonable price. Also, talk to the guys there. You'll be able to tell just by conversing with them which ones are interested in helping you and will provide good advise. Those companies are usually pretty good about weeding out the bad apples who are only interested in making a quick sale. The commission the big box stores pay is so miniscucle anyway that sales guys are usually brand agnostic.
    • Day 13: 4/4/25 Stack Full Speed Spectrum training session.
    • Day 186 - 2025-04-04 Worked before lessons this morning. Not a long time as the first lesson arrived pretty early.
    • Strata are decent clubs for newbies, usually furnished in a complete boxed set, with putter and bag. They're an excellent way to get going in the game and to see if you want to stick with it. If you don't, you're not out too much money but if you want to progress, you should get fit and buy better clubs with newer technology that will help you out. Most places I know of (ie: Golf Galaxy / PGA Store) charge you for the fitting which is then credited back to you when you buy the clubs, so it's essentially free. (I know GG does that...not sure about PGA.) Once you have clubs that fit you rather than you having to maybe contort yourself to fit the clubs (depending on your height/arm length/swing characteristics) you can progress and get better. Ultimately though, as the saying goes, "It's not the arrow, it's the Indian."
    • There is no dispersion data presented but based on your average smash factor, I would guess that you're hitting the ball pretty much in the middle of the face, or pretty darn close to it. If that's the case I might suggest the Titleist GT3. It's not quite as forgiving as the TSR2 but if you hit the ball in the center of the face, as you seem to be doing, you'll feel the ball absolutely explode off the tee. (That's what I feel anyway with my TSR3.) I also think you might be launching the ball too high. There's an optimal launch/spin chart on the Titleist website that you should look at. You might want to dial down your hosel setting on your driver from A1 to D1 for example.
