tall pga tour pros?

say 6'3" and up, does anyone know of any? Im interested in seeing the difference in swing for taller pro's, but to be honest, I dont know which ones that would be. Im 6'4", so maybe I could find one I like from a taller player, if that makes any sense?

Jim Furyk?

6'2, along with Ricky Barnes and Geoff Ogilvy. Close to the OP's question.

However, I do not think the differences between Jim Furyk's swing and that of just about anyone else are due to height , which is what the OP was getting at. Good catch just the same.

They're not really very big.

Guys, be wary of what the PGA Tour media guide says. Whatever it says for Tiger Woods is wrong. Tiger's like 5'11".

PGA Tour golfers look bigger on TV. They're pretty much average guys (in terms of height). Look at them walking next to their caddies - most PGA Tour caddies are nearly as tall as or taller than their pros.

The tallest ones I know are Bubba Watson, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, and Jim Furyk

Driver: Callaway Big Bertha Diablo 9º
2 Hybrid: Callaway Big Bertha Heavenwood

          Taylormade Tour Preferred PW-7 iron
Wedges: Cleveland CG14 50º, 54º

Actually it is Stewart Cink at 6'4" - Davis Love, Els, Bubba and Stenson are 6'3" Furyk is 6'2, as is Vijay. Tiger is 6'1. So was Byron Nelson.

It does surprise me when I find out how tall some of these guys are (or aren't)

Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer are 5'10

Corey Pavin, 95 US Open winner is only 5'9

Fred Funk is 5'8, same as Bobby Jones

Ben Hogan was 5'7 - pretty big game, though!

This makes me feel much better. When I was starting, some of my (ill-informed) friends told me that, being 5'8, I wouldn't end up being a great golfer. That's part of why I enjoy watching AK, Imada, Pavin, and other guys that are (listed as being) in the neighborhood of 5'8. Thanks for the heads-up.

I saw tger woods in edmonton (before I was a golfer) at the west ed mall. He is not 6'1. As Iacas said, maybe 5'11

The one golf lesson I took... the pro recommended I take note of Ernie Els since he's supposed to be a big tall guy.

Don't see why height should make that much of a difference. The taller you are the longer the clubs I guess, but it won't be any handicap in terms of distance for those lower players. Anthony Kim is 5'11", even choke down on the clubs, but still 21st in driving distance.

The important thing is to adjust the clubs if you are significantly taller or shorter. Most clubs are somewhat the same length. They will fit average height players, but those taller or shorter would benefit more from length adjustment than those within 3/4 to 1/2 inch longer or shorter.

Ummm.... Anthony Kim is not 5'11.. And lie ange is just as important, if not more-so, than length of clubs. Mine are 1" longer and 2.25* more lie...

      I've played the Tour in both white and yellow.  They play well and seem to hold up pretty good even when running into trees or cart paths.  Right now, I've been trying them against the Bridgestone Tour B RX ball and I really like both.  The Snell 3.0 looks to be a great update to the issues Snell was running into with the previous generation.

      Day 128: 5/3/24 Spent 10 minutes chipping and putting at The Creek golf course after visiting a relative.  Greens are slow, and I putted quite well. Perhaps I should seek courses with much slower greens!

      Not to take away from the OP's question but the Snell 3.0 is about all you could ask for in a ball. I'm not a paid spokesman and my opinion does not reflect on the owner of the site. Lexi Thompson could beat most people with a Top Flite, or a Nitro. Ben Griffin? He doesn't offer a lot of street cred so I'll pass. Now if Fat Perez or Heavy Ballesteros start using it then?????? 😀

      Just read that Peter Oosterhuis passed away. He was the one and only celebrity I have asked for an autograph! In September 2007, I was in the Charlotte Airport awaiting a flight reading my October 2007 Golf Magazine. It was during the FedEx playoffs and Tiger had just won the previous tournament with the Tour Championship the next event. I watched the event listening to the dulcet tones of Peter Oosterhuis, among others. I opened the magazine, and started reading an article about Oosterhuis and the opening picture had him posing as James Bond in a movie’s opening sequence. I looked up from the article and he was sitting directly across from me!    I approached and showed him the article and asked if he would sign the photo. Mr. Oosterhuis asked “Are you keen on golf?” When I responded positively, we spoke for about 10 minutes discussing the fact that both Phil and Tiger had won FedEx events prior to the Tour Championship. He was very gracious and a wonderful storyteller. I was saddened by his battles with dementia and missed him on CBS’s telecasts.
